Eh, not really cheesy. I think the Meltabombs are a waste of points. Wolf Standards are pretty crap, I think. I have also heard that statistically, Mark is better than the Power Weapon. Also, not enough long-range firepower. Just some things to consider. |

I suppose I could drop the 3 meltabombs and add another GH to Omega squad in the 1500pt list. For the 2k one, I could use the 3 meltabombs to upgrade 3 Heavy Bolters in my LF squad to Missile Launchers. I find the Wolf Standards to be great. You can re-roll hits, wounds and save rolls of "1" in both shooting and assault (and even psychic tests). Not bad for 10pts. MotW statistically gives you 3.5 attacks average of which .58 (1/6) of those are power (rending) hits. Power weapons give you 3 power attacks. That's a no-brainer. I could drop 1 squad of GH (omega squad) for another unit of Long Fangs, but would I really want to sacrifice my scoring unit? Hmmm....tough choice. Don't forget I also have 2 Living Lightnings for AT as well. |

On the Mark thing, don't forget that value of attacks are just as useful, if not more so, than power weapon attacks. Also, a guy on another forum ran the math for it and it worked out that Mark was better overall. Just going off his advice. Of course, I think this is a good problem - we have two really great options, both of which are good choices.

you could solve the problem by taking both if you have the points expensive yes(please tell me you can takeboth otherwise im off to get my eyes tested) its not a bad list it just needs tweaking i think i might have a little go at tweaking it for you if you like but ill have to wait till kids are in bed also whats your play style(apart from howling charge) if you dont want me to have a tweak it aint no problem

I believe with multiple RP's you have to play it with some finesse. Unlike Ragnar, Logan, wolfguard-heavy or thunderwolf lists, which are pure hammer lists who have to advance towards the enemy to be effective, my style is more reactionary depending on the opponent. Against a hammer list like the above, khorne lists, orks, or other cc-hungry armies, I stay back and use my psychic powers and any heavy support. Against a mechanized list, I advance and try to melta them or use Living Lightning. And against Tau and Guards, I advance. Any tweaking is fine. I'd prefer to keep my theme of multiple Rune Priests, as I think that is the future of space wolf tournament armies.

oh i wasnt gonna get rid of the rune priests i can se the cheesy/spammish ness of themalso if used right there quite fun and killy to be honest ill do a list later n post for ya as the wife wants the computer now ahhh.
