750pts Generic Marine list - any suggestions?

Hi - I was thinking of starting a 750pt Necron army, but was tinkering with army builder and came up with this as an alternative generic marine list, which feels stronger.

    HQ
Librarian in power armour (might of the ancients & vortex of doom)

    Troops
5 marines (sarg with combi melta) in razorback (T/L lascannon)
5 marines (sarg with combi melta) in razorback (T/L lascannon)
5 marines (sarg with combi melta) in razorback (T/L lascannon)

    Heavy
    predator (autocannon)
    predator (autocannon)

    Any suggestions or thoughts?

I like it. seems solid, eggs are certainly not all in one basket. You will have problems against horde armies, Imperial guard will eat you alive. Smaller elite armies probably will be smashed.

    Built something similar at 750.

    HQ- 100
    librarian, Sanguine sword, Unleash Rage

    Troops- 650
5x Assault Marines, meltagun, Land Raider- 325

Problem is that nowadays, tac squads are usually best using 10 men as you get access to free special weapons with no extra cost with some of the weapons( kinda makes me like the 4th ed codex again and i also do miss the traits). 5 men tac squads are alright but scout squads should be better as they can take sniper rifles and CCW and bolt pistols so at low cost points, they defintely are good if you want numbers in your army.

In this other thread, I read that just havng 4 missile launchers with a dev squadis quite effective considering you won't meet many land raiders at 500-750 point costs. This in my opinion is better than the two preds and is more versatile at taking on light infantry or horde armies which space marine armies that are few in numbers might struggle to cope with

The librarian is definetely good as it makes him a beast in combat and a very good tank buster so you could bust up a tank before going to kill the passengers inside, it might be good to have force dome as an option as a librarian doesn't have a invul save. Also is the librarian a epistolary?

I think based on just what i said you could use this list:

    HQ

Librarian with power armor( might of ancients and vortex of doom) 100

    Troops

10 x tac squad with meltagun, missile launcher, sergeant with melta bombs and a razorback 215
5 x scouts with ccw and bolt pistol 75
    5 x scouts with sniper rifles 75
5x scouts with boltguns ( or shotguns) 75

    Fast attack

land speeder storm with heavy flamer 60

    heavy support

5x dev squad with 4x missile launchers 150

    total: 750

So you have a tac squad which can be combat squaded to have 5 men in a razorback with the librarian. 5 scouts in the land speeder storm to go and contest their objective. Snipers to camp on your objective. Dev squad to handle any tanks and infantry. Scouts with boltguns to lend fire support.

Your current draft is a strong performer but will be expandable in only one specific direction. Unless you're dead-set on a fully mechanized army, I'd build my first list around the basic two Tactical squads with Rhinos or Razors. Add any support option and you'll have a more balanced beginning.

Sorry, I was under the impression that he wouldn't expand his list but yes, taking two tac squads and a scout squad will be a good troop core to have
