Double Post 1000pt space marine army

this is my first list so all comments are needed




HQ:captain in termi amour with a storm bolter and a power weapon 100pt


TROOPS: 6 man tac squad with one heavy bolter 95pt
2. 6man tac squad with one heavy bolter 95pt


ELITES:dreadnought/venerable/tank hunnter/missile launcher with assult cannon 135pt
dreadnought with assult cannon 105pt
terminator squad with 2 assult cannons 240pt


HEAVY:vindicator with smoke launchers 128pt
whirlwind(vengeance missiles)
85pt
it all makes 983pts if you have any thoughts on what i shoud do with the remaning points tell me

Ok I would give it a lascannon as it will be S10 thanks to tank hunters. Perfect tank killer.

Ok this guy doesn't serve much of a purpose, so I would take a look at the SM HQ tactica in the articles section to get some ideas on what to do for HQ. Since you have a terminator squad, I would get a librarian with fear of the darkness and deep strike them (make the termies into a termy command squad).

You might consider making these 5 men each and giving them plasma cannons. It will do better especially agianst 3+ save armies and costs the same.

I would give the vindi extra armour. As its range is only 24", it will probably get shot a lot, and if it's stunned, it would help to be able to move away.

I agree with everything said except about the the terminators. I feel that they should be dropped entirely. In a small battle they are very risky units to take, I feel that a full assault squad would be better. And a jetpack on the commander or better yet a chaplain.

i with deek about the terminators that just over 20% of your points blown on that 1 unit. but i have a problem with the marines and the tanks. i think u should have waaaaay more marines at least 20. and lose 1 of the tanks but that just might be me not liking tanks all that much
