I love biker armies, they are low on the model count and can be really fun to play. No reason why you can't play a "ravenwing-like" army at all. As it has been said, a lot of dark angel players are using vanilla rules these days and as long as they are clear on what ruleset they are using before the game there are no real issues.
The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Not sure if there is going to be a new codex for Blood angels, Dark angels ect. Myself, playing blood angels and having got the new codex am quite annoyed, and i thought they would update it, but i saw this the other day.

Its a GW seminar about new products, and near the end, when asked about an update for BA/DA ect, they say no, the chapters are independent.
Make of it what you will, but i forsee alot of normal marine forces that look suspiciously blood angels -esque.
