I wish any team could get a dreadnought as good as the furioso that excels at close combat he gets like 6 to 7 attacks if i remeber ? I dont know if the ironclad is as good as a furioso iron clad get 4 attacks?
I dont play space wolfs but i remeber in the 3rd edition bjorn having monsterous stats whish they would bring back a hero dreadnought for someone.
Just to show some dreadnought love <3

Mine performed beautifully last night - dropped it down in the middle of the Eldar force, roasted the farseer with a single hit and then managed to take out a Wraithlord in combat

Sadly it only had a stormbolter left at the end and was immobilised but it was perfectly positioned to stop the retreating guardian force from regrouping and falling off the board edge!

Ironclads in pods with 2 heavy flamers are IMO the best configuration in the game. There's just nothing that they can't kill -tanks MCs ICs and heavy infantry in combat, infantry and light infantry at a range.

The extra armour is a lifesaver against things like power fists, relic blades, and krak grenades. and the pod can do a good bit of damage too. With 3 of these dropping in on turn 1 (with 2+ other podding units) your opponent is pretty well screwed.

I run a Death Company furioso dread regularly. I love the model and when he does get into combat he's an absolute monster. It's just that he almost never ever gets into combat. And I have plenty of other targets in my army, so its not like hes out there alone. He's just such a massively high priority target for most of my regular opponents. And anyone who looks at him. Even in a pod he cant charge straight in. He almost never makes his points back.
Does make some pretty sweet battles when my opponents field other combat monsters like wraithlords, carnifexs etc and agree to a duel. Always fun, even if he gets mangled every now and again.

Ven Furioso dread is always a good time. Drop pod it on the enemy objective. Venerable helps keep it alive. It provides a nasty problem that your opponent has to choice but to remove. This usually means the rest of your force has a better chance of getting into position since so much attention is given to the big nasty dread.

I use my Furioso as an Ironclad from time to time when using Vanilla codex. Armor 13 sure makes a big difference!

I play SW and I have started taking a Ven dread as a HQ. armed with AC and Hvy flamer + drop pod and extra armor. causes havoc behind my buddy's line. he plays tau so all of a sudden he has to chose between losing a tank or a squad of firewarriors. its great plus Wolf scouts w/ melta bombs w/ OBEL. cant lose. im actually eyeballing a second dread and dropping the Pred from my list because tau tanks kill it too fast.

Well I got 2 Dreads myself. I have one with Assault Cannon, CCW and storm bolter. Works great for fighting Orks, nids, and Tau. Then I have on with basically the same set up but it has Twin lascannons instead of Assault Cannons. Works great for Tanks heavy armies.
