By the way Geoking, that is an immense "to buy" list. Though it has enough options to get you going for just about anything. I'm gonna agree with the land speeder storms, without scouts they don't have a place (besides looking awesome).

What is the best tank the Space Marines have? Going by 1500 points I would not be able to use it in my army, but i have extra cash and for bigger battle i would have no tanks on my list.

Best tank? Well the most EXPENSIVE tank they have is the Land raider. Which consequently all the variations of are rather powerful. If you need some dedicated anti-tank a Land Raider could do that for you, while Crusader/redeemers are more anti-infantry. Major fire magnet, and powerful, "best" i'm not sure about, but they are the Space Marine power icon.

Other than that, most Marine tanks tend to be more fire-support than frontline battletanks. The Vindicator I suppose is a bit more, but it's armor isn't amazing (good, but not AV14). And none of the other SM tanks come close to dishing out the damage, or being such a fire magnet. (S10 AP2 blasts seem to get that response alot). Whirlwinds and predators these days get more of the "sit back and shoot" work.
