    Missile Launchers

hiya guys, I'm having trouble with finding enough Missile Launchers, actually, I need 6 of them So far I know the only ways to get missile Lauchers are to get the:
    http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefr...0007&orignav=9
that's the Legion of the Damned Missile Laucher.
    or the:
    http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefr...1025&orignav=9
    Tactical Squad Upgrade Sprue
and lastly one of the Chaos Havoc Models.
I really need those Missiles Launchers, what sort of sprue/bit could I get for this purpose without spending loads of money?
I know more people have this problem, and I hope that some of you can help us (the whole Space Marine players group) to get our Missiles out and ready.

    Thanks in forward,

    I have the same problem...

or at least, I'm going to have the same problem later on. I'll probably end up needing 2 or 3 more missile launcher than I'll have fro mthe tactical squad boxes.

The one thing I thought of is substituting it with the scout with missile launcher model. Which is actually quite a cool mini.

You ever saw scouts run Devastator Squads? I don't... too bad, could be quite low-budget

btw, Converting them is OK too, only have to know what to convert from, and how to do so.

Of course you order those tac-squad sprues loose from the Online Store for £8.
And are these scouts a multi-part models? If so, it won't be too hard to apply the missile launcher on a regular Devastator model.

8 pound for 1 missile launcher is a bit much don't you think?

and no, the scout is a single hunk of metal.

It may not be the answer you are looking for but.....

With a minimal amount of effort you could probably make your own as follows:

Order the Las Cannon arm from the Devastator box which costs £2.50
With a small saw cut away, or file away if prefered, the main body of the weapon and replace it with a roll of Green Stuff.

Thas the simple version. Obviously exactly how you go about it is up to you, but I think it would be a cost effective way of doing things.

Well, HK missiles are easillly converted to missile launchers. I hiughlly rec ommend this. A marine can hold one across his chest easilly.

Check the vehicle sprues, there may be one with an HK missile thats cheaper then 8 pounds. Otherwise your going to have to go to a GW store and look in the big nasty book of mail order and find a sprue with a missile launcher in it. I know in canada we can get the upgrade sprue from the razorback kit for a couple of bucks (4 I believe) and it has a missil elauncher, flamer and sergeant CCW + bpistol.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC

hahahaha tsk tsk. you guys... i have a coupla MLs and HKs all unpainted and i think still on the sprue if you want to set up a suitable trade. i think i have at least 4 MLs and about the same in HKs, but i think i primed a coupla the HKs for no apparent reason (seeing as i never use them). so they would be primed in white. but the MLs are still on the sprues and untouched. i even have a badly primed guy from one of my BFM sets that i didn't get to paint (he is primed in black). so give me a suitable trade and i'm willing to send it to you. oh and i hope you live in the US. i'm a bit leery of international shipping.

I'm quite happy that so much people thought of this post as helpful. I'm really fond with some of the things you guys suggested.
@ Chaosbrynn, way to go, I have a HK missile or 3 lying around, I'm going to convert them a little so I have halve of my problem solved.

I love you , let me order you something.

Really, this seems quite easy and without too much effort I will get it done.
