Does anyone know how to get the LR assault hatch to open and close properly? I've built 3 LRs before and the doors never ever closed properly after I build the model. I was thinking about using magnets this time. Anyone got any ideas?

Just follow the instructions, and make sure the little bar inside the bodywork doesn't make contact with any glue. Trim the little pins inside a little bit, it might help.

Or indeed, pit some magnets on the inside of the doors ^_^

i followed the instructions to the letter when i put the last 3 LRs together!!! :cry:

the problem i had was after i open and shut the doors a few times they didn't then close all the way.

i also think i will go with the magnets.

yeah, I have that problem too, and I know more people who do. Magnets will do the trick.

I haven't had this problem. But I did have a piece on the exterior side break off. It's a little piece of plastic that keeps the bar from falling off. Luckily it broke before I glued the pieces together so I could reattatch the broken piece. Does your LR rattle after the hatches stop working? Mine doesn't close all the way on it's own, but it does get almost closed and then I just push down the top piece.

No rattles and nothing broke. It's just that the bottom door of the LR never closed fully. The top door would come down fine, but the bottom door would have a small gap where it wouldn't close fully.
