Most fun to paint SM model/unit thats decent in games and not too expensive

What SM model/squad do you think is most fun to paint, not very expensive, and decent in gameplay? I will be going to the store today to possibly get a model or unit for my planned SM army and need some advice. Hopefully this model can inspire me to continue creating my new army.

I recently painted up a 5 man scout squad with 4 bolters and a heavy bolter, and a 5 man scout squad with 4 sniper rifles and a rocket launcher. I find that both kits were very enjoyable and easy to trim, easy to paint. I now plan on doing a scout force. Seems GW did something right as i don't really mind paying the $20-25 for 5 scouts as its a squad ready to go that looks nice to boot! Now i just have to learn to paint camo on cloaks

A regular tactical squads are fun to paint up. And my next one would be an assault squad really fun to build and paint. Especailly if you like the scheme that you are doing.

And be more specific on the price so people know what suggestions to tell you. Because I would rather paint devastators than a tactical squad.

I like the commander model. Great to put together. All kinds of crazy options. Good starter for the SM bits box and if I remember correctly...20 bucks.

Assault squads, you can make them have very dynamic poses and such with their jump packs and all. And you get power weapons. ^-^

may be biased since I field at least 15 of them in any game.

Well, I got BfM for Christmas, so my new SM army now consists of 7 bolter marines, 1 sergeant, 1 ML, and one flamer. I'm going to paint as BA, I may use BA rules, may not. I have to go to the store soon to get some blood red paint, so I might as well expand the army while I'm there. Since I will probably be playing CP games for at least a little while with this army, I think I'm going to get either scouts or an assualt squad. Prob the assualt marines cause I'm lacking in CC right now. Anti tank and anti swarm are good with the ML and flamer. Thanks for your opinions everyone!
