    500pnt tournament

    Hi all

Im going to tournament in a couple of weeks, its an inter-store one so I need to win for the good of my store

Anyways, here the additional rules (normal GT ones are being used as well):

    1. Only enter a Good OR Evil army
    2. 500 pnt limit
    3. 250pnt limit on heros

This is the list Im thinking of taking:::

    Arwem
    -Horse
    -Elven Cloak

    Twins
    -Horses
    -Heavy Armour

    1 Banner Elf
    6 Spear Elves
    6 Bow Elves
    7 Sword Elves

Any changes people can think of?

The only chnage I can think of atm, is to take out the Twins and put in Gandalf (for the old Natures Wrath / restore 2 Will points thingy all over again)

    The Inquisition - 38-2-3

    Tomb Kings - 1-1-1

    Grey Company Elves - 16-1-3

Saurons Force of the Black - 8-1-3

It's better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven

With the Twins in, your probably going to be outnumbered in which case I'd dump the Spears for more Swords. Remember the WD article where the spear was removed from combat by being in a combat itself with another model. This might cause problems unless you can funnel your opponents (Bridge of Khazad-Dum). Instead go for the swords where you can opt for the two-hand option and put a beat down on your foes.

The good things that you'll have two mounted models that can act as shock cavalry.

Now you bring up Gandalf. Good choice and it'll save you some points for more elves. Though I'm thinking the twins being able to ride down some baddies is a better option as it'll seriously slow your opponent down until they kill the horses. But then they run the risk of having a lone deranged brother to deal with.

Ive gone for the exta Spear and Shield over Swordsman because the way I play isnt really about using those Spears to fight through but rather to win the combat whilst the elven blades strike double handed

The twins on horses make for an awsome Shock force, and for their points in this tournament I think makes them more worthwile (170 points for 2 Elven Heros is just awesome) --- and like you said, if one dies the other just becomes a Physco XD

The Gandalf option is, again just for the Natures Wrath abuse which Ive found several times an experienced player can stop anyway --- Oh and Gandalf costs the same as the twins atm so it wont really free up any points as you put it (there both 170 atm)
    The Inquisition - 38-2-3

    Tomb Kings - 1-1-1

    Grey Company Elves - 16-1-3
