Does anyone know of any pre set campaigns for lotr. I know there are a ton of missions in the book, but I'm looking for one that has a few pre selected missions which start small and then get bigger, and each victory grants you some sort of advantage in the last mission.
If any of you guys know of a campaign like this i would be very grateful, or if any of you have actually created a campaign like this I'd like to know how it went and what battles you did and how it all turned out. Thanks in advance guys
well in the fall of the necromancer book u can have different people follow the different paths of the different squads, if they dont win, they dont show up in the next battle. makes life tough.
You might want to pick up the new "Two Towers" book. It does exactly as you want (Scales up, each mission has a benefit for the winning party) and is a pretty fun campaign. It is, however, limited to a few armies.
If you want a campaign to encompass a wide range of forces, I would say make your own up, using the existing LOTR missions as base templates for what to do.
Our gaming group was doing exactly that at one time, we also incorporated the Warhammer tiles for a map-based campaign, that would be a great thing to try as well.
a great campaign u may want to do is the entire story of The Hobbit, from gandalf vs the trolls (last until like turn 4 and they turn to stone) all the way to the battle of 3 armies with dwarves, humans, and orks. You can also include the side stories of gandalf and the elves of mirkwood go and fight the necromancer (Fall of the Necromancer).
Thanks for the help guys, I'm going check out the Two Towers book, and I have been checking out some warhammer skirmish scenarios to see if I can tailer them to fit in a lotr campaign.
