Welcome to Librarium Online!
Anyone play this game? The minis seem pretty cool but i dont know anyone who plays it.So just curious if any one does and if it has alot of rules like 40k or if it is realy basic.

Interesting question. This is not a simple basic miniatures game, but it does not necessarily have a lot of rules. Because of the alternating move sequence both players are actively involved in the action all the time. You don't have the move, shoot, assault sequence like 40K. You activate a unit (or force your opponent to activate one) do everything it can do then it shifts to your opponent to activate (or force you to activate) a unit and the sequence repeats. This is done till all the units and characters from both sides have committed an action the turn ends and a new initiative (The EDGE) is determined for the next turn. There is a very tacticly challenging game. The fact that the miniatures are very cool is a huge bonus.
It is also self-contained. Everything you need is in the rulebook, no racial supplements or anything like that. There might be a supplement in the future but the game is complete as printed. The warband creation is also very flexible. Choose the race of your Harbinger (leader), then 50% of your force point total must be of his race or worship the same god (human city-dwellers) then, within a few restrictions, you can have units from the other races as part of your warband.
So you have great tactical game combined with great miniatures and the ability to really create an army that fits your style of play. How can you go wrong?
I agree, the minis are pretty good and am thinking on starting it. My problem is none of my friends want to play and i dobt anyone at my local gaming store do either. The Sebeki warband looks pretty cool. And the game mechanics seem easy to learn.

That's how I feel. Until now I haven't heard about this game except in passing "something something something Wargods something something chinese food something something game." But, I may consider trying it out if it is contained and not to expensive to get a decent size force.Originally posted by Silvermoon@Feb 18 2005, 02:39
