Well, the monster in my starter was Cthugrosh, and the first monster booster I bought had Yasheth. (or however they're spelled).

So I naturally play the Lords of Cthul, haha =).

either monster is great. i use defender X do to the better health and his abilities. the sky sentinal migh just be better but he really depends on your units to make the army work.

as far as units go you have a good base. i wouldnt take the elite choppers unless you take the sky sentinal because of thier high cost and fragility. try to max out on our g-tanks and get another elite tank. 1 or two mobile ops centers are a must as well as another repair vehicle. the games i have used the repair vehicle in have really made a difference.

the monster killer formation i found out is a 3 tank formation with a mobile ops center. one tank must be a elite tank. set up the tanks and ops center all adjecent to each other with the ops center in the middle. you now have 7 square range for your tanks thanks to the ops center. when you target a monster (or unit even) make sure all three tanks are firing in a combined attack against the monster. you get 6 attack dice from the tanks, 1 boost die from the elite tank, 2 extra boost dice because the elite tank gives it to the regular tanks, and anther boost dice from the command center for participating in a combined attack. all added up it gives you 6 attack dice and 4 boost dice which will wound most monsters regularly. combine this with a chopper near the monster for the minus one to defense and it really hits home.

    Hmm...

Martian Menace, Lords of Cthul & Planet Eaters. Aliens all the way!

I'm not fond of the Syndicate or Terrosaurs, overall. The Syndicate is so 'average' in abilities and attacks that they barely have any niche at all, and although the Terrosaurs have great monsters, the units are kind of limited, and don't seem to have the versatility or raw power of the World Eater units.

The Guard is a very good defensive/shooty force with good monsters, but I didn't get this game to play as giant robots! I got it to play as monsters! (although the upcoming Voltron model might just change my mind ^_^)
