Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well, in the interests of doing an evil force I got the Pelennor Fields supplement. Needless to say, I'm also getting some Rangers of the North. But anyways, back on topic...
Since I'm gonna' use it to take on my other army (I get other people to play it) my force will be fighting Warriors of Minas Tirith, Knights of Minas Tirith, Rangers of Gondor, and an oddly high number of Citadel Guard. Toss in Faramir, Beregond and the odd mounted Hero and you've got the gist of it.
Now, in the interest of going against them I'm popping out at least two Hasharin. Also they'll be going in supported by at least four Chieftains, and maybe Suladan himself.
To combate a pure gondor force I want to use a pure Haradrim force.
My dilemma is simple.
Proportions of Raiders to Haradrim. Then, proportion of Bows to Spears/Lances.
Note I'm a bit short on the glorious canadian green-back, so the odds of getting a Mumak are very slim.
Can anyone help this newcomer to the desert?
If a tree falls in the forest, and it lands on a mime, does anyone care?
Well, get Suldan, but in a straight out battle, Harashin are virtually useless as position of Power Hero in battle, and thats basicly all they can get ( Besides fluff-wise, they would never side with Suldan if he was doing something aginst thier wish's ). I would get alot of Raiders, there aint anything more fun than a cavalry flank of some heavily armoured soldiers. Poisened bows will make life easier on yourself, but at the end of the day, they're just regular bows with an Anti-Crap filter . Raiders with Lances are a must against Warriors of Minas Tirith, as long as you can get them charging with Suldan and afew Chieftans at the lead. As for Warriors, thier cheap, thier better than Orcs, so try and get quite afew with Bows, for weaking the back lines so your Raiders wont have to fight through that much. Spearmen are less of a nescesity, in any battle with you having cavalry, you shouldnt be defending as much, and Spearmen will hold you up abit. Mumaks are great, I've seen the rules, thier great. To use them Properly, equip it with Bowmen and charge it forward into the Enemy with none of your troops round-about, its Stampede ability aint nice. . .
So thats my opinion, good luck
If you can, get a mumak, save up for one at least. It is so worth it. 10 wounds!!! Come on! The only way to kill it is to be very lucky with your archers and kill the driver(i did it), or wound it with a catapult to make it stampede. That is really tough to do. Load it with archers and your good to go. There is no way anyone, not even elves, to take out 10 wounds. Get a mumak, good stuff.
Haradrim is made for archery, get as many as you can.
