Does anyone know what Games Workshop are doing next for LOTR. Now they've released seige of Gondor and Pellennor Fields there is nothing left in the film or book to make a supplement about.
Maybe they will make a The Hobbit or The Silmarillion supplement. Morgoth would rule, and Feanor fought an army of Balrogs! I'm not sure they have the licence for these books though.
Or maybe they will just concentrate on Fantasy and 40k, they are better games anyway.
Well, they are doing an EPIC scale LoTR called " Battle of the Five Armies " and that is set around from the book " The Hobbit ". They are also releasing " The Scouring of the Shire " which focus's on the end of RoTK book.
Silmarilion would really own, I somehow doubt Fearnor fighting an Army of Balrogs would be in it, although, it would make for a nice Scenic Thingy. Sauron leading an army of Werewolves? Yes please!
epic LOTR?? hmm sounds dodgy, too much like warmaster
It's not epic scale, it's 10mm, Warmaster scale, warmaster type bases and apparently modified Warmaster rules.Originally posted by Kaine@Aug 15 2004, 15:43

The idea is complete armies for a battle in a box. The first one is "The Battle of the Five Armies" from the end of the hobbit, and the box includes some sceneary as well as armies
Trouble is, looks like it's all ready. I saw some sprues in March, but GW are sitting on it until god knows when

Probably until the LOTR sales drop pretty low, than they will introduce it...I wont be getting that anyway, dont like those epic games.
God, i hope the don't do friggin' anything with it. It takes up too much space in White Dwarf!!! It was big while the movie was, now that the movies are dying down, maybe the game will die down

The games are dying down, nothing really knew is happening. Once they run out of stuff to make, slowly the sales will drop... And LOTR as we know it, will be gone...
Just bought some stuff in a UK GW and the they've stopped doing LOTR bags after 4 years, maybe they have decided to quit on it.
I didn't really think it would last, like most of the other games besides 40k and fantasy. Even near the end of the first year with fellowship it died down till two towers came out, with nothing else it won't last. Which is a pity, but oh well...
I love LOTR, which is why it would be really disappointing if and when it stops. But, what did GW expect, its not like warhammer of 40k which has a constantly changing story line. Oh well.
