in answer to your question (if its still needed)
a: Man o War is a naval warhammer game, you build a fleet from capital ships, ships of the line and special ships, monsters etc, crew it (with different crew levels, veteran sailors etc) and then take turns to manoever your ships, ram the enemy, fire your weapons, take boarding actions, pick up survivors from the wreckage of other ships. You have to take account of the wind direction, you can cast spells, and call sea monsters up from the deep etc. Its a very simple game to learn but suprisingly in depth- IMO the best game GW ever produced (in terms of rules)
b: as far as i know the only way you can get the rules online is through ebay, which is very expensive
c: if you cxan get hold of it, plus the expansion sets plague fleet and seas of blood, you wont be dissapointed, its a great game
