    Fantasy fellowship

hi im completly new to Lotr (don't even own the book yet).

I just wanted some quick advice, I seen this article on the fantasy fellowship in uk.games-workshop.com and was interested. The heroes I chose for the fellowship will be bought with the book.

I just need a rought idea if this is balanced or not (heck I don't even know the points so tell me if im over k?) Tnks a lot.

This fellowship would represent what would happen should gondor taken stern hold of the affair. Only an elf and Gandalf's ally Ragast the brown were able to be included otherwise. Of course the dwarves wont be left out in such an important affair.

I was thinkin something like this:

    Bilbo Baggins (ringbearer)

    Gandalf the grey (companion)

    Faramir

    Boromir

    Elven Captain (bow)

    Captain of Men (bow)

    Ragast the Brown

    Frodo Baggins

    Gimli

feel free to steal this idea.

Sorry, I could barely understand your post. If you talk like a proper person, you'll be treated like one.
From what I could understand (which wasn't very much) is that you want to create a new, unique fellowship. It seems a good idea, but it'd be useful if you explain how you are going to do so.

You click edit and at the top it says delete. You can delete your posts, but not the thread. Only Mods can do so.

Pierced, look back about a year in White Dwarves or articles on gamesworkshop.com and you will find a 'Fantasy Fellowship'. You select 9 heroes to become your Fellowship and there is a series of games that go along with it.

Sounds like a good idea, I was also intrigued by the idea of a fantasy fellowship. I don't think it really matters about being over in points (within reason) because me and my friend did a fantasy fellowship campaign, and if the fellowship were significantly over in points we did a percentage increase to the amount of evil models in each battle.

the idea of a fantast fellowship is good but if you think about the background stories to LotRs the fellowship you are proposing seems a bit unlikely for a couple of reasons:

    1) In terms of the story (but not the game) having bilbo and frodo would lead to a feud about who was the ringbearer as it has a hold over both bagginses.

    2) Surely the warden of gondor wouldn't let both his sons go off on a quest he wasn't even too keen on at the start?

i'm probably being far too geeky and anal though...

i remeber having an ent in mine, they met 1 in the old forest, and my ring bearer was frodo, compainion sam, with the ent, there is pippin, (merry got killed by a ring wraith when he was takeing frodo's stuff to bree, pipin then attacked the ring wraith and made it flee) then there are some others, i can't really remember, except that the ent was too big for the ferry! lol.

    an ent :huh

    well its your fellowship

I think boromir wouldn't really fit in with faramir as someone said

i'll replace gimli with that dwarf who escorted him to wherever and got captured by the elf

the captain of men will be replaced with...i'll get back to that

not at all, not if Bilbo never gave it to Frodo... something he would have never done if he knew about the danger, and if he did not knew why should he go on the quest

the ring could not have a hold on Frodo if Frodo never had carried it... that's what the Fantasy Fellowship-thing is about... to tweak the storyline
