Welcome to Librarium Online!
Warg Chieftain 75pts
I know the rulebook doesn't list these as being from Moria, however I read some of Tolkien's work and read that there are wargs in Moria.
He and the other Wargs will go on the flanks to close my trap.
Goblin Captain with shield 40pts
Basic leader so the goblins don't flee at the first sight of an old man.
Cave Troll with troll chain 85pts
Goes with the goblins for added force.
Moria Goblin Drum 100pts
The main instrument of the trap.
10 Wargs 80pts
12 Moria goblins with orc bows 60pts
6 Moria goblins with spears 30pts
6 Moria goblins with shields 30pts
The list's for a campaign starting nearby next month, I've already got most of the goblins and am considering dropping 2-3 wargs for more goblins. BTW the overall victory is based at least partially on sportsmanship and composition so I'd rather not drop the troll/wargs.

Sorry, but this is like SPAM. :diespam:Originally Posted by crucial
Anyway, as for the force: the wargs are good for closing the trap as you said, but there seem to be too little goblins for my liking. They are weak anyway and what you want is hoards of them to tie up the army and bog them down. Also the drum seems quite pointless in a 500pts game as it costs a whole 100pts, 1/5 of your force and enough for about 20 goblins. I like the troll idea though and this will cause considerable damage but I can imagine the troll being the only model left on the table...
Definitely take out the drum and one of the chieftains, as you don't need 2. Hopefully you should have an army of over 50 models if it is a goblin one.
if it was allowed i would love to just be able to take the Balrog.. i reckon he would win against most 500 points armies
