1750pts Tournament worthy?

Hello there,

I have recently decided to start collecting 40k once more, going into the Tau Empire.

It has been a while since I played this at a decent level, and such the following list probably contains some flaws.

I usually like to buy an entire army at once so I would really appriciate any comments on the following list.


HQ

Things I am uncertain about:

• I am not familliar yet with the troops only rule on holding objectives, since I only have 3 choices in the troops section, will this hold me down?
• The piranha was a point filler really, any suggestions?

I think PR and fusion is an odd combo personally.

Troops

I'm guessing there are 2 units of 2 xv8s here and not 2 units of one?Either way twinlinked MP is good.

As for the Decoy launchers. I'm not even sure if they work in 5th? I think a DP is better anyway.

Troops are the only units that can capture an objective but any unit can contest an objective.

I never have any luck with just one Piranha. I would take 2-3 if you want Piranha that is.

Thanks for the reply, the decoy launchers are supposed to be Disruption Pods.
Stupid mistake, alrdy edited.

The point with FW in fish is kind of to keep things mechanized.
I know I can contest objectives with any unit, but are 3 FW teams enough to actually hold/capture them?

For a tournament I think it would be hard to pull off. For lists like these (Not a lot of xv8s) it seems to be the general consensus that 4 troops are enough. Also I would take kroot.
