Hi all i have made a combat patrol my oponent also playes tau... yer i know it will be torture...i have no idea wot he will be taking all i know is we are having a combat patrol game..........................
All the models i have.....Devilfish 2-Crisis Suits
6-Stealths 20-Firewarriors
6-Gun Drones Pirhans-Fusion Blaster set up

Tau Combat Patrol

7-Firewarriors w/ pulse rifles 70pts

7-Firewarriors w/ pulse rifles 70pts

6-Stealth suits 180pts

Crisis Suit-Team leader-w/ Targetting Array, H.W multi-tracker 77pts
(im not sure which one 2 use fire knife or helios)

there ya go plz help the games is fast approaching so i have no idea
wot to do.. THANKS IN ADVANCE ANY AND ALL HELP GRATEFULL

Drop two Stealth Suits. With this size game, 6 suits take up too many points. Use the extra points there to beef up the Fire Warriors. I'd suggest you take the Fireknife suit since you won't see many 3+ saves and the added range will help it be more effective against his range.

He might be taking a Devilfish, which means that your Fireknife will be the only thing that can really damage it.

Your list seems a little mixed. The suits being highly mobile, the fire warriors being highly static.

i agree with the doctor. get rid of 2 stealth suits and get a fireknife crises config. u might want to consider dropping a firewarrior squad to get a warfish (devilfish, SMS, targetting array, multitracker, decoy launchers) also, i suggest getting some kroot. kroot are very good in combat patrols because they have infiltrate, low points cost, good advantages in forest, and they increase your model count.

Just want to ask... how do you propose his exchanging of 70 points for a 120-point Warfish? And to add Kroot, to boot?

I think the 6x Stealth Suits is fairly decent, to be honest. Especially against fellow Tau - Fire Warriors can't take the beating, and they will be able to get good angles on the enemy Crisis Suits, too.

I'd recommend, however, using a Fireknife 'Suit, especially if you think your buddy might take a Devilfish.. going to be rough trying to kill it, relying on side/back armour.

Thanks guys, i willl use fireknfe set up on me crisis, i dont know wot he will take now thsts the problem he could end up takein anything im not sure, so do ya think this list is balances enough to take any list that he may bring????
