plz say what you think were good chioces and what were bad and what to change them with. this is my general tactic for each unit:

commander and suits find a piece of terrain and deep stike popping in and out of it shooting the enemies. They target most troops as there weapons are generally effective against most troops.

Got 2 fire warrior squads with smart fishes to go agaist assault troops using the fish of fury tactic. The other two are to hold my objective while shooting enemies from a safe distance.

Broadsides are for anti tank basically find cover and stay there not much to it.

last but not leat is two hammerheads which can either be anti tank or infantry i usually use the latter unless i realy need to.

    thx for reading

take off the specific unit costs. GW does not like that.

This unit is illegal. Shas'uis can't take wargear.

    It NEEDS a multi-tracker.

Overall this is a fantastic list for a first-timer. Very solid. I would use kroot instead of your footslogger fire warriors. That would free up space for multi-trackers and you would be near 1500 pts.

PS: Remove the individual points costs from your list. GW has copyright laws on it

The team leader can take wargear if it gets the upgrade. The other suit will have to pick between the TA or multi-tracker

    - Drop the CIB, as this weapon relies too much on lucky dice rolls to be effective. I had used this weapon for quite some time, before I "saw the light" on these forums. You can replace it with a missile pod (as this list is your first) or a fusion blaster (if you rather just go gun-ho!). Get a target array, drop the bonding knife (rather useless on a single suit), drop the shield drones (as they don't last very long anyway) for 1-2 gun drones instead.

    2 plas rife

-Your selections are a bit "illegal" here, but no biggie. Only the team leader/Shas'vre can take hard-wired items. Upgrade a suit to a team leader, and give him a hard-wired drone controller with a ML drone. Drop the targetting arrays for multi-trackers ( markerlights will help with your B skill). Drop the burst cannons for missile pods.

    Troops

    10 fire warriors
    shas’ui
    bonding knife ………………………………………………………115pts

    dfish
    disruption pod

-Make your FW teams 12man strong. You don't need both devilfish, as one can be used to "taxi" any of your teams. Drop the SMS and targetting arrays, as they are pretty much useless on devilfish. Just the disruption pods and MT will do.

-Take the Advanced Stabilisation System for your broadsides. Being able to move, will increase there ability to survive. Add a multi-tracker to your HH, as keeping it moving will help it survive ( not to mention the ability to keep firing all its weapons within reason ). You could drop a HH for a Sky Ray, arming it with BCs, disruption pod, and MT. Likewise, you can just give your second HH the ion cannon.

commander and suits find a piece of terrain and deep stike popping in and out of it shooting the enemies. They target most troops as there weapons are generally effective against most troops.

-The CIB has a chance to be good against horde forces, but that's it.

Got 2 fire warrior squads with smart fishes to go agaist assault troops using the fish of fury tactic. The other two are to hold my objective while shooting enemies from a safe distance.

-If I recall correctly, the "fish of fury" tactic loses its edge with the new 5th edition rules. You can sit on objective, with devilfish-based FWs, and its two gun drones. That makes three units on the objective. Just be careful of the mission, as your DGs will become easy kill points for your opponent.

Broadsides are for anti tank basically find cover and stay there not much to it.

last but not leat is two hammerheads which can either be anti tank or infantry i usually use the latter unless i realy need to.

-If you wish to go that route, with your HH, give one the ion cannon. Its a higher S value, plus the railgun submunitoin scatters now (if I recall correctly). Take the support system, I suggested earlier, for your boradsides. They will survive longer.

    thx for reading

-You are welcome. It was my pleasure. [/quote]

I would like to point out, the guides at the top of the Tau forums. They are a "must read", and they have helped me a thousand times over.
You should include a pathfinder team, as their MLs will help your shooting greatly. As we all know, Tau are all about "shooting".
