Here's a 2000 point list I use sometimes, this list is lighter on the archers than what I normally bring.
Tomb Prince in Chariot: GW, (will join my unit of Chariots) ]Golden Eye of Rah-Nutt ( Chariot of Fire
LHP: Will go in the unit of Tomb Guard
Golden Ankhra [/
Dispel Scroll (

HP Mounted: Will Join the mounted unit
Dispel Scroll ( Heiratic Jar (
20 Skeleton Warriors with SPears and Shields, Light Armour, Full command
12 Skeleton Warriors with bows
7 Light Cavalry
3 Chariots with the banner of the undying legion, (will have the prince join this unit)
20 Tomb Guard
SSC with Skulls of the foes.

Dude, get rid of those points costs!!
First things First, remove all the individual poiints costs of everything.
The Prince could really do with some Protection himself, even if it is just LA and Shield. Id say go for a Spear over a GW too.
Total overkill on Scrolls, thats a lot of points wasted if you face Dwaves or the likes, and even a waste when fighting most balanced armies. I think you can safely drop 2 atleast.
Why is the Cloak not on the Hiero!? Hes the one who needs it most. Also the Mighty Plaques are a great option for a LHP. If he has the Cloak, the 4+ ward shouldnt be needed.
Give the Hjar to the second highest Priest, the later in the phase you can use it the better.
Look at giving the mounted Priest the Staff of Ravening.
Spear Skellies...!?!? Nooooo!!! *cries* Never take spears, skellies cant kill a thing, they are there for Static Res and numbers. You want kills in combat, get Ushabti. Theyre about all we have.
Small bow units im not a fan of, its just points into a unit that wont really kill much. Loose them and make your 3rd Core Scarab swarms (to help the Scorp with ICF
Nice unit for the mounted Priest to hang out in.
Give the TG FC, and look at a magic banner too maybe. Also look at boosting to 25.
Scorp, Carrion and SSC all good.
Ok, now a proper reply...
First up, the LHP should have the cloak, so he can fly away from the unit protecting him when the enemy is close. Besides, why would you put the heirophant in a CC unit? The enemy can target him more easily.
Id then be joining a prince on foot with the tomb guard, then just add another chariot. This makes the TG deadly as, and the chariots are still useful. Unlike most, I dont like princes in chariots...
Do you really need all those scrolls? You have 6 dispel dice anyway, and those 4 scrolls can be traded for a SSC.
Tim makes a Great point, which i missed originally. You havent used both Rares! With a LHP, if you arent looking at a Casket then you definitely want dual SSCs.
I also agree with the Chariot Prince, i find he is far more effective on foot. In the TG wth the Collar and a GW he will be good.
So this is what I am going to try,
I'll buy a 2nd SSC.
I'll up my archers to 20
I'll go with a Tomb King and throw him in with the tomb Guard
I'll go with 3 LP (1 to hang out near the SSC, 1 mounted to hang with the light cav, 1 hierophant with the cloak.
I'll dump most the buffs.
I'll than field 7 light Cav
1 tomb scorpion
20 skellies (thats all i have)
4 chariots with no characters (banner of Rakaph) free reform
I'll see how this list goes.

Unfortunately the Icon of Rakaph cant be taken by Chariots, its a foot only banner. Although as Chariots are fast cav, they get unlimited free reforms anyway. Just make sure your magic is on hand to get the charges in.

With the points safed from the illegal Icon of Rakaph, you MUST get in the Banner of Undying Legion. A TK led army is light(ish) on powerdice as it is, the extra boudn spell come in handy, and sticking it with the Tomb Guard when joined by the King is gonna be one helluva good unit. Tough, strong, and keeps healing itself. Gold.
List looks pretty good, and should work well.

I've always just thrown the undying legion in the chariot unit. I guess I could try the tomb guard. So that would be 1 d6 worth of tg per turn. NICE.
Since coming onto this site my interest in the gaming has increased right back to when I first started. Thanks for all the ideas guys, I'll let you know how my next battle goes!
