Hey guys, you may have sen my old post about an army list. I've gone through and changed some things. It's working pretty well, I've been able to pepper down the enemy to sad small numbers before they got to me. Anyways here's the gist.
Tomb King: General (Goes with TG)
Destroyer of Eternities
Collar of Shapesh
Liche Priest: Hierophant (Flies solo)
Cloak of the Dunes
Liche Preist (solo)
Staff of Ravening
Casket of Souls
(24) Skeleton Warriors (bows)
(23) Skeleton Warriors (bows)
(24) Tomb Guard
Banner of the Undying Legion
Screaming Skull Catapult
Skulls of the Foe
Against a lot of armies this list has been pretty solid. One of my major problems has been my friends who plays Orcs. The biggest problem I have is just his sheer numbers. I haven't found a good way to thin his numbers down enough to make him manageable in close combat. Because I have so few actual fighting units, it's tough to take his units when they force me into combat. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on both my list, and how I can change it or my tactics to help me against my orc friend. Thanks.
Hmm... drop 2 skellies and ive both Bow units music. That is all from me, nice list
From personal taste I would drop the tomb guard for a unit of skeleton warrior with light armour and shields, but that is because I personally like skeletons over tomb guard.
The main reason I say this is I find that the more skeletons the better (for points) and combined with fear can be just as effective as tomb guard.
There is nothing more annoying when your Wyches with Plasma Grenades get "Always strikes First" for their combat drugs!
you know, tbh I was kinda thinking about this. The tomb guard haven't done anything unbelievably spectacular and taking skeletons would free up both points and a special slot. Did someone say third scorpion? or carrion even
Some Carrion are always nice
hmm, kepp the tomb guard, they rock, I like them, dont give em muso's because they never need to rally as they dont run, scrap the ushabti, put ina few carrion, put the points into 15 or so heavy cav, they aren't the heaviest of cav but the have unit strengrth 30 combine with some 'urgency' fueled flank charges makes 'em break, for you ork problem, consider adding thos two archer units trogether (!) i know, but you need to outnumber to autobreak.
EDIT: and to sort out your greenskin problem, get in a coula skulls of the foe wounds with that catapult and let low-ld do the rest
