I've never played TK. Indeed, I'd hardly even looked at them before reading "Nagash the Sorcerer", but now I want them! I want them like Scientology wants rich, niave celebrities weaving in and out of its front rank.
In my attempts to make something akin to the playstyle of my Dark Eldar, he's a newbies attempt at making a fast and smashy list. Numbers after characters/units denote their placement.
Tomb King (General, Chariot, Flail of Skulls, Collar of Shapesh)
Liche Priest (Hierophant, Cloak of the Dunes, Hieratic jar)
Liche Priest (Steed, Dispel Scroll)
Tomb Prince (Chariot, Chariot of Fire, Flail)
5 x Chariots (Standard, Icon of the Sacred Eye)
3 x Chariots
6 x Skeleton Light Horsemen
5 x Carrion
3 x Ushabti
For my extra points... I think I'm going to take the flail off the prince and add another chariot to his unit or see if I can drop a pair of Carrion and some other stuff to get a 4th Ushabti.
Definitely get a 4th Ushabti.
King + 5 Chariots? Thats either a unit too wide to manoeuvre, or one really expensive rank bonus! Drop 2 of the chariots.
Drop one of the Light Cav. Have only one Priest ride with them, the other should be fine Flying around alone.
I was really liking the idea of going 3x2, using my fast cav reform on the charge to go wide and punching in with a lot of impact hits... Seems I didn't think very hard about how wide the unit I would be charging is likely to be ¬.¬
At maximum... 7x20mm or 6x25mm, so I'll drop the unit size down to 4 in addition with dropping that Light Horseman? Should give me a 4th Ushabti and the points spare to grab a second scroll or Vambraces for the king and a standard for the Prince's unit.
