Welcome to Librarium Online!
yep they surprised us and told us the 1850 tourney at our store was a fantasy rtt. so i am going to revise my list in a whole new thread for commentary and advice, especially on some armies i might fight. this being that thread
+Collar of Shapesh
+Sword of Battle
Liche Priest 325
+Casket of Souls
+Standard Bearer + Muse
Tomb Guard x24-343
Skeleton Light Horsemen x5-70
Skeleton Light Horsemen x5-70
Skeleton Light Horsemen x5-70
after last weeks fleeting performance by ironguts, bulls, and leadbelchers i went for another rare choice regiment of renown... Rico's republican guard, they performed amazing to say the least ending the game only losing one noncommand model in close combat. But my magic was heavily overpowered in all the games i played so i sought something to pump me up. I found the dark emissary, who with 4 power dice added to my 2 pool i never use, 3 wounds and 2 dispel dice... it's basically a High Liche Priest with a 5+ ward save and +1 to casting for less points then it would cost to give that to a high liche priest. So i tried it and the Coils of the Serpent spell stole my heart... while The d6 S5 magic missiles cauterized the wound.
RECENT CHANGES: After about 5 games last week with the Emiisary with the previous list and a few other modified ones i realized that i could not put the Emissary in a strong unit to protect it without putting it into close combat and neutering it's spell casting ability, so I decided to try my last option list as seen above. The Casket of MoFo Souls. The list above fought Dwarves, Empire, Lizardmen, and Wood Elves. all but the lizardmen were minor victories and i beat the Stegocheese into a overwhelming victory. Cause stegodons can't handle the damage output of the casket on the small unit they are. So this list is what i am rolling with next weekend as it seems the most effective at this point. once i confirm my idea against some warriors of chaos and my friends Daemons. HOOAH!
The priest on the casket will be my hiero, and since he is on foot i gave him the Cotd so when enemies are getting close he can bail out and save his own skin!

Nice List I may say... I think I can make some points in it though:
That's all for now Hope It Helps!
- In these "lower" pts army lists you should really make use of the valuable... KB-dealing... Poisonous... Undermining... Slaughtering... Mega-Monster called *Drrrrruuums, drum-Drrrrruuums* the Tomb Scorpion. I would really suggest an additional of these. Maybe dropping the SHH for this and add the rest of the pts to the archers or something.
- Is it REALLY necessary with 6 chariots in a unit (assuming that your TP will fit there)? Maybe take some points from there too, to fill up a place more valuable. You could, by adjusting to my number one alternative in this post, also take this into knowledge: You got the pts for an additional Chariot unit of 3 (making it altogether 4 in that unit). This gives you the ability to have two units of chariots, 4 within each.
- Maybe, if you're good at squeezing you could try to give your TP the CoF...?
those are good points but...
unfortunately while i am using a prince as a general my chariots are a special choice. and i only have 3 til 2k points. so 4 ushabti 5 chariots and the scorp are what i am using for them atm. some flexibility cause i dont think ill be using more then 1-2 war machines at this point value so i doubt ill be burying my scorpion all the time.
CoF lost me on that acronym, might be something i don't normally use.
it popped in my head today i was wondering if even in that large unit would a flames be useful and iwas like..
OH DUH! that's what he meant lol.

When will you play the list? I would really like some kind of a battle report just to see if it worked well...
"it popped in my head today i was wondering if even in that large unit would a flames be useful and iwas like.." quoted! (in wrong way though)
I don't get what you mean?
Our horsemen are just so bad. You have 269 points there, that's a second catapult, plus quite a few more toys you could have instead.
only got one rare choice to put a cat out there
what i meant by if a flames might be useful is that it's gonna likely be in a unit of 5 other chariots, 6 wide chariots is already 6d3 impact hits, i don't think changing one of those d3 to a d6+1 is that major.
i played a game with the list yesterday versus a WoC tzeentch cavalry list... with a cannon.
ushabti did great, taking out a unit of knights, light cav did good pocketing harassing of the enemies big knight unit and march blockin em but i didn't get to charge with my chariots cause the unit was too big and got stuck in some terrain cutting thier movement down to far, thusly they were charged instead and were quickly vanquished by nasty combat rez. the cannon ate my heavy cav after they overran a couple units of woc light cav. never meleed with a hellcannon before. and never again. i quickly dropped a ssc bomb on it and severely damaged it, but thn the knights who took out my chariots ate my ssc. the ushabti kept getting tied up by small units and were unable to save the chariots or ssc. some chaos ogres tied up my skelly unit before they knights charged my ssc, and they are just as mean as ushabti. scorpion would have appeared turn two near the hellcannon, but it gt a direct hit and a fail on the scatter dice. and it was buried too deep.
my magic phase was only strong enough to really get spells through on the turn i busted my heiro jar to regen my ushabti. the heavy cav did good if the hellcannon hadn't been unbreakable. duely noted that if it looks that bamf it is that bamf.
Overall, looks pretty good. TK can have difficult games at 1500-1999pts, given that all Hero, Special and Rare slots are filled generally well before then.
That unit of 5 Chariots... whats their plan? With the Prince i assume, in one rank, or 3x2? Either way, id recommend dropping the unit to 3 (+Prince) and giving them magic Banner, Sacred Eye maybe? Help those hits land.
(Note that often, 6 chariots in one wide rank wont get you 6D3 impact hits. Atleast two of the Chariots will probably not run into base contact wih the enemy. Hence the suggestion for running 4 max.
Put some extra points into the Heavy Cav too, make them 12 strong (6x2) and maybe swap the WB for BotUL. Add music also.
Filling up on Special is recommended. At minimum you can drop the Light Cav for 3 Carrion. May even be able to squeeze in a Scorp... or by dropping the Heavy Cav, grab 4 Ushabti? They hit hard
Personally id group the 2 bow units together so they can be useful in combat (late game) too. Otherwise theyll probably net you a kill or two, then just be easy VicPts for the opponant. Also (i would) make the other unit into archers too. There is no Character to join them for combat so a sponge is a sponge is better if it can get a few kills to negate enemy rank bonus before it gets charged lol.
I am filled on special choices guys!
i get 3 at less then 2k
i'm working on some unit modifications at the moment.
it's fine i think our codex must get less then everyone else if everyone thinks i should be playing more
