Ok here we go. I just want some input on how you think this list will do against opponents like High Elves, lizardmen, Orcs and goblins and Skaven. The armies I am referring to will be played by friends of mine whom are also totally new to this game.
I have access to more units like SSC, skeleton horsemen, more chariots and tomb guard but for now I want to try out this list and see how it does.
Any critique is welcome as well as tactics suggestions since I am totally new to the game.
Thanks in advance.
Tomb prince (general), riding chariot with light armor and shield, spear of antarhak as a magic weapon.
----------------- 184 pts.
Lichepriest on foot, cloak of the dunes as magic item.
----------------- 135 pts
Lichepriest on foot.
----------------- 115 pts
20x skeleton warriors with bows. (possibly 2 units of 10)
----------------- 160 pts
3x chariots (prince goes in here)
----------------- 120 pts
1x tomb scorpion
----------------- 85 pts
----------------- 195 pts
Total 994 pts.
First thing I see is that you need a second core. A Tomb Swarm is a cheap option.
Also, a Screaming Skull Catapult is a REALLY good idea at this level. For that matter, at any level.
"My Word is Iron"
"Show me your Friends, and I'll show you your Future"
You need another core unit. Chariots only count as core if the army is led by a Tomb King.
EDIT: Whoop beat me to it
Second core - add this
I would say that you could dismount the prince - erase his Chariot - since experience is needed to make full use of a Chariot TP... It is hard to meassure distances in the beginning, and also hard to choose the right fight, get it?
For these points you could buy one Swarm base that would actually work as a second Core Choice
Instead of the SoA outfit with LA and Shield, I would suggest that you try a TP with Armour of the Ages and GW for the same cost
If you want the SSC, just replace an upgraded Catapult with the Ushabtis. For the spare points, add a Scorp
Stand back and shoot, wait for your opponent to come to you!
Kill War Machines and enemy Characters with ONE Scorp
Decline crucial charges with the Swarm when enemies are approaching
Smash the flanks of enemy units with a combined charge of Ushabtis/Scorp ( leave one together with the Bowmen, not under the effect of ICFB ) and Chariots
Syncronise your list to work "all-on-one"
This will make you unbeatable I would recommend that you make the changes I suggested

Ah yes ofcourse I forgot that I would not have enough core choice.
The reason I hesitate with getting the SSC is that I want to try and keep it a bit simple in the beginning with just getting used to movement, combat and magic phases and the like. I plan on bringing one later on when I get more used to the game.
Anyways I like the suggestions Nagash but since I don't have access to a tombswarm at the moment maybe I can just split the archer unit into 2 instead for the time being? Or will it hurt me too much not to have a unit with some ranks?
Another thing I was thinking about was taking away the chariot from the prince and cutting 5 skellies from the main company and instead using the points to form another unit of 10 skellie archers so I would have (15 bowmen + prince and another unit with 10 bowmen) I would then also trade the spear of antarhak for armour of the ages and a great weapon for the prince.
Also I only have 1 scorp in the list so I can't tunnel and have one spare. (in addition to the fact that I only have the 1 model).
I don't expect my opponents to field armies with alot of magic so dropping 1 lichepriest could be another option as well.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
Also I like the Ushabtis and I want to atleast try them out for a few games. ^^
I simply love the models and they by far the best painted in my army. It was just sooo much fun painting them with lots of gold and stuff. And how can you not like those gorgeous monster sized weapons? ^^
List looks good as it is Even without an SSC lol. Ushabti are a nice choice.
If you drop the TP to be on foot (joining the bowmen) then you can grab a cheap Tomb Swarm. With the TP on foot, id suggest going with a Collar of Shapesh + great Weapon combo, and add Music and maybe a Standard to the skellies
Thanks I think I will give that a spin then. ^^
You could stand with the Ushabtis as replacement for that second Scorp too It is just a little bit harder to play
