Welcome to Librarium Online!
It's been a long time since I used the casket, mainly because it never went off for me, and most of my 2k lists lately with TKs I have done twin SSCs and a LHP standing between them having a jolly ole time haha. Anyway lemme know what you think.
Tomb King, DoE, CoS
Tomb Prince, Chariot, Chariot of Fire, Enchanted Shield, Talisman of Protection, LA, Shield, Spear
Liche Priest, Casket, Scroll, Scroll
Liche Priest, Hieratic Jar, Cloak of the Dunes, Heirophant
2 X Tomb Swarm
20 X Skeleton Archers, Musician
3 X Chariots, Banner, Banner Undying Legion
20 X Tomb Guard, Full Command, Icon of Rakaph
SSC, Skulls of the Foe
Fairly standard I suppose, one thing I think I actually wanna start taking is larger units of Carrion, like 6+, for this list I have to buy 1 more, but was curious what kind of luck people have had with bigger units, I like these guys a lot.
Another nice list. Seeing a few good ones lately.
There isn't really anything I could suggest for your list that doesn't fall under the 'personal choice' category TBH.
On the subject of carrion, I too am a big fan and often wish I could take more. The main reason I don't is usually down to available special slots more than anything. *sigh*
There was a time when carrion had about as bad an image problem as heavy cav (and were used about as often), but this has clearly changed a lot as the game has continued to evolve.
With the recent proliferation of all the elven armies (of various flavours), there is probably a good case for some renewed experimentation and a fresh perspective in this area. I mention elves particularly because they can sometimes give us a tough game and I've had some success against some lighter (usually missile) units. Because the carrion get off the mark so quickly we can really tie these units up and nutralise them right from the word go. Obviously this fits in with the whole synergy of our army perfectly and has a positive knock on effect in a couple of key areas.
The only real stumbling block I have found with carrion is that for all they are usually great, there are one or two match ups where they are just plain awful. Let us know how you get on if you try this out bud, I'd be interested to know how others have fared with these myself.
Because Sun Tzu would play Tomb Kings...
My first opponent with this list will most likely be a Dark Elf player in a couple weeks, he doesn't load up on heavy cav, but he will take a dragon, which might be problems haha, hopefully i can somehow lure him into my Tomb Guard unit, or peg it with a SSC a couple times before it starts going off lol.
