Big up to the TK massive!
Here's the deal. I'm trying to come up with a good TK list for my first game in a couple of weeks against Skaven (ugh). Our group standard is 2k, so barring any change, that's where this will have to stay. 2.5k would make list creation so much easier, but I'm only one man in a group of 7.
We're taking our transition from 7E to 8E slowly so I'm in no major rush, but I wanted to run my first 8E list by you all to disseminate and critique.
This is a themed, twin King list (literally). Abundant magic and flaming attacks are fairly prevalent. I really wish I could've cajoled the points to put a character on the Chariot of Fire, but alas...that was not to be.
Anywho...here's my list.
Kheseti, King of Flame (211 pts) - GENERAL
Ruby Ring of Destruction
Hosektet, King of Fate (276 pts)
Wizard Hat (can't get anymore fateful than this item for TK)
Rapthys, Keeper of Souls (320 pts) - HIEROPHANT
Collar of Shapesh
Oteki, Herald of the Twins (75 pts) - BSB
I'm not set on his gear. Right now, I have him with the Banner of Eternal Flame to fit theme.
Skeleton Archers x 30 (290 pts)
--FC (to waste points I can put anywhere else)
--Banner of the Undying Legion
Chariots x 3 (120 pts)
Chariots x3 (120 pts)
Tomb Guard x 19 (298 pts)
--Icon of Rakaph
Scorpions x2 (170 pts)
SSC (110 pts)
This should put me right at 2k.
I would definitely like a larger TG unit, but that would mean only fielding one Scorpion and I think that's a mistake. Ushabti would end up being cheaper, I'm just not seeing them really having a place in a list below 2.5k points (they strike me as ideal at 3k+). Then there are the chariots. I know having these two units is probably a mistake, especially when they aren't supported by characters. I'm gambling on my opponent overestimating how good they are. He was terrified of them in 7E and he doesn't keep up with rumor forums/sites too well. So I'm hoping he won't know any better.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to any and all feedback.

might want to check the math on your heirophant and flaming king as you have them listed here....
I gotta assume it's a regular LP with the casket. If so, I think you're short by 5.
And I think the flaming king is over by 10
So I think you got 5 more points to spend
I'd drop the skulls of the foe and icon of rakaph. Rakaph just doesn't make sense in 8th. especially not for 40 points. I'd give the TG either the razor standard or the sacred eye...either way, you'll have points to spare...20 points gets you gambler's armor (heavy with a 6+ ward save)...heavy plus helm plus shield starts the king at 3+...not bad for TK.
The archers are exactly the way I built mine...keep them near the heiro (you didn't mention the casket, but it's in the points!) for a ready supply of wounds to feed the collar.
IG since 1999 __ DA since 2002 __ Tau since 2005 __ SoB since 2007
Brets 1997-1999 __ TK since 2009 __ Empire since 2010
<sigh> If only the Sacred Eye banner worked on attacks in the shooting phase.
Has anyone else fielded an Icon Bearer and if so, did you use a magic banner or given him magical equipment? He obviously has the flaming attacks banner for thematic reasons. But would I be better served just to slap Glittering Scale Armor on him instead and call it a day?
