hey, i'm new to this forum and would like your oppinion to this list:
liche high priest 490 pt.
- casket of souls
- hieratic jar
- golden ankhra
- ruby ring of ruin
heroes: 440 pt.
tomb prince: 140 pt.
- enchanted shield
liche priest 1 135 pt.
- enkhil's kenopi
liche priest 2 160 pt.
- staff of ravening
core: 500 pt.
40 skeleton warriors 330 pt.
- standard bearer
20 skeleton warriors 170 pt.
- standard bearer
6 ushabti 390 pt.
2 screaming skull catapults 180 pt.
The reason i picked so many bound spells was that the enemy couldn't stop all of them, so there would be a great chance of getting the more important spells going.
Also, the prince with the dragonhelm gets to make a ward save against flaming attacks, which makes it more reliable to use since he was most of the time the target for flaming attacks. And with the enchanted shield and dawnstone, he gets to make a re-roll for missed armour saves.
This list is used mostly as an defensive list, since u get to shoot a lot (skeleton warriors and the screaming skull catapults, most of the time twice, explaining the ammount of priests). And when you get in close combat, then the ushabti will get u going as an support group.

Quick correction to make...
You can't have both the dragonhelm and enchanted shield; they are both magical armour.
Also, you appear to be using the main rulebook price for the enchanted shield; you still have to use the army book price.
Even if you could use that combo, you are giving yourself a re-rollable 4+ armour save. You'd probably be better off getting the 2+ armour save item. It's the same price as all 3 of those together; the re-rollable 4+ gives a 25% chance to wound where as the 2+ gives 16.6% chance to wound. You can throw in the dragonbane gem to keep the 2+ ward against flaming attacks if you want.
I thank you for responding, but i would like some clarification on some things.
About that enchanted shield, i cant find that entry in the army book, as far as i can tell its only in the main rule book which makes it just 5 points
Also, how would you consider taking a 2+ armour save for only 40 points to spend
(dragonhelm=10pt., enchanted shield=5pt., dawnstone=25pt., add them and its 40pt.)
The value for the enchanted shield is in the same area where the magic items are in the TK book. I don't have it on me right now but I'm pretty sure it's on the first page of magic items (before the TK specific items); it's part of the common items.
Well, I wasn't saying to take the 2+ armour save item; I was just suggesting that it was better than a re-rollable 4+. Yes, to fit it in your list you'd need to save 5 points somewhere. Besides, no matter the cost, you can't take both the dragonhelm and enchanted shield because you can't have 2 magical armours.
Since you don't seem to be using it, the collar should suffice for the prince. You could then give him a regular shield, LA, and the dragonhelm. Collar+dragonhelm+LA+shield should be 39 points. That would give you a 4+ armour, 6+ parry save (since you're using a regular hand weapon for him), and the 4+ collar. It also comes with the 2+ flaming ward to boot. Seems like enough protection to me.
Everything JL177 said is 100% correct. You can't have the Dragonhelm and Enchanted Shield (although they're different types of magic armor, the rule states you may only have ONE type of magic armor total, that can be combined with mundane armor for greater effect). Also, the Enchanted Shield does cost 10 points for Tomb Kings. Check page 36 of your army book, and then read page 500 of the BRB (hardcover edition, not sure what page on the mini-BR and it's also in the FAQ about choosing magic items of the same type with different points values for each army. Good luck, broseph!
