I am new to TK and need a bit of help making an army list with what i have :
Unit of skellie warriors/ bowmen
12 tomb guard - command
liche priest - mounted/foot
screaming skull catapult
first you in tomb kings you can play 1k with just one priest ... put 2 priest and a cloak of the dunes on the hierofant ....
than you have to tell us how much are your units ... we dont your units nunbers of skellies , horseman , etc
ushbtis are very good , put one unit of tree or one unit of 4
i think that in 1k , you cant have TK just heroes , so cut it and put a prince in the unit of chariots...
now tell us the nunbers of the units ....
Ok so by the looks of it we will be heading for a 1000point list. As super rokinho said, you havent given the numbers of skellies, so exact nummbers will be difficult.
In constructing the list, best here to start with core choices. You need 2, so use 2 tomb swarms (a unit of 4 is overkill in low points) and a unit of skeleton warriors. For the skellies, use either bows or hand weapons, shields and light armour. If you want command, dont take a champion, but the banner and musician are up to you. A good unit size is 20, so you will have to proxy some tomb guard as skeleton warriors for now. Make it a 24 unit if your prince goes in there.
Now, the most important part of a tomb king army, the characters. You must take a prince and a priest as general and hierophant respectively.
For arming your prince, keep him on foot for now and give him a basic Great Weapon and the Collar of Shapesh. Hes cheap with decent save and can kick out giood damage. Put him in the 24 man skellie unit.
Your hierophant, use the priest on foot and give him the cloak of the dunes. It allows him good movement so you can keeep him out of trouble and get your spells where you need them most easily.
The second priest is optional, but recommended as tomb kings rely heavily on their magic and characters. Your other priest is mounted, thats fine for now but his primary use should be magically firing the catapult. Dont worry about any wargear for him.
Fill out your special slots with the 3 chariots (no command) and the 2 scorpions, and your catapult with the upgrade for your rare choice. These 4 units can be used to devastating effect, and are found in the majority of tomb king armies.
Unit of skellie warriors/ bowmen - 15
12 tomb guard - with full command
Tomb King/ Prince
2 liche priest - mounted/foot
screaming skull catapult
ok so using the tomb guard as skellies you can make a decent unit of 24. Write up a list following the layout i gave above, and see what it comes too.
i think if you cut the horsemans ( depending on the size of the unit ) you could put one unit of three ushabtis , or maybe some carrions , they are always good to kill crews and alone mages
