As tomb kings dont get the best of runs in the conversion forum (about 3 threads out of lots).
I was wondering if anyone has done any interesting conversions for their tomb kings armies.
I saw a nice Tomb Scorpion once that used the scorps body, but rather than its head, the torso of the 40K eldar striking scorpion exaarch(?).
If I can find it again, I'll post a link.
My armies conversions are none too fancy, but I swear I'll post pics of some of the better ones one day soon.
Here's the scorpion(wish I could say it was mine!).
And some other nice pics...
Some great pics there Palos thanks.
They're really cool Palos. My army has some conversions in, specifially the repositioning of the scorpions, and the Kings chariot. Follow the Tomb King link in my sig to my pictures if you want to take a look.
I'm converting most of my chariots to be different from standard. On one of them, the crew man is weilding a whip in each hand and is standing on the back of the horses. Another guy is leaning out the back of the chariot, holding onto the banner pole, and spearing. My most extensive is one rising out of the sand, the horses legs are reposed to be rearing up and all.
Besides that, I bought most of my army second hand so didn't have much I could really do.
I did my army as the conversion in the 06'-07' GW product catalog, the one with the highelf bottom half and TK top half. Mainly because I don't like the all bone, no clothes look.
My TK on chariot is pulled by a tomb scorpion, and the chariot had a bit more stuff on it to make it stand out more than a normal chariot.
No conversion but my unit of Tomb Guard in my fledgling TK army (not ready yet) is made up from the old Undead Mummies with weapons- i managed to get them all from ebay (i guess noone wants them anymore!) they look suitably egyptian and very distinct from the normal skeletons

i did quite a small conversion but it seems to work ok... i took a banner pole and chariot crews long spear thing so it is one handed and shoved a whip aswell and it seems to be effective
I always try and convert my heroes just so my army has a little flavor all its own, and with only 3 choices each in TK...
Anyway I started with the sword/shield king and cut the sword off at the hand and the hilt blow the wrap. Then I drilled the hand ran brass rod through. For the ends I replaced the sword blade at the top, and an oversized skull from the command sprue to balance it.
For my heiro I took the snake priest and cut off the bottom 'jaw' above the bend and filed that into a smaller jaw. Finally I replaced the the sword with a whip, cause if you gonna be an asp priest ya gotta use a whip.
Unfortunately these aren't painted yet, but when I finish them I will try and get a gallery going.
For the greater good, my will be done!

Pics! I demand pics! Sounds cool. Bit of a Necro'd thread but whilst we are at it, just thought id add something cool i saw at a tourney last summer. This Guys Hierophant was a Chariot Champion model, atleast it had the ornated head and a few other decor bits. Anyway, the thing that made it awesome was that the model was perfect for a Priest with Cloak of the Dunes. He had used sand within the model and basically it looked awesome. With i had pics, its kinda hard to explain
