Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hello all, Im a Dark Elf player but recently my friend who plays Tomb Kings decided to stop this game. He has a 3000 point army of Tomb Kings he wants to sell them for 100 bucks so I was wondering if Tomb Kings are a fun army or are a challange (I like a challange). So I would keep them as a second army or fix them up paint them all real well and try to resell them on ebay or something. Im asking you good people here for some help, Thanks for the help.
TK are fun and are challenging.
Lotsa magic, no miscasts, great models, nice rules= phun.
Lack of marching, expensive point cost, little or none armour, Hierophant= challenge.
And the ground did tremble, as the king marched to war...
3K for 100 bucks you may as well snap them up anyway.
They have a very unique playstyle, and learning how to use them effectively can be quite challenging, but as with all armies you just need to learn what works for you.
Once you get the hang of the army though, they are one of the most reliable armies (if not THE most reliabe army) in fantasy. Most unit need to work together with others to work best, making the army very dependant on its construction. You always know what your troops will do, how they will perform in certain situations.
Your magic is the best available as you never need to worry about miscasts, your spells always cast. The short spell range is something you need to get the hang of though.
Just out of interest, any idea what your mate has exactly in his 3K army?
well i know he has
- 2 tomb kings
- 4 mage guys
- 3 chariots
- 4 ushapti
- lots nad lots of skelies with bows
- 1 queen person
- skull catapult
- the casket of souls
- 16 cavalry
thats what i think it has in it there is probably a bit more, If i was to buy this army i would buy more chariots and horses. well any more help will be thanked
Are they painted? That's around $400 worth of figures if you were to buy them new. If nothing else, you can probably turn around and sell them on ebay for a little profit. TK seem like an interesting army to play (don't play them myself). I haven't heard many kind words about TK cav though.
100 bucks is a steal for all that just take em even if you don't use them theyll be a nice addition to your collection
I can be 2 things at once.
Gods gift to the world, and his biggest mistake
Definately buy them. As said above, the price is definately a bargain.
