One thing, under 'weaknesses, expensive' i think that sentence needs finishing off? they become a magic missile... as nice as that would be i think it needs an ending. Also not just magic missile, it becomes a target for shooting too, especially template weapons.

I don't particularly like the "suggested army" part. Nothing wrong with your selection at all, but its all a matter of preference and local playstyles anyway. I feel like we should be educating others to better build their own lists more effectively rather than just telling them how to build ours. For example: I find Carrion highly useful against VC. There's no point in taking the US 5 unit but a minimum unit of 3 costs less than a scorpion and can easily kill a Necromancer on the 1st turn (when it really matters). Vs VC is one of the few times I actually dust off my Bone Daddy (or vs TK should I ever find another TK player IRL). Crashing into the side of a zombie or skeleton unit is one of the few times Unstoppable Assault really comes into its own and one of the few ways we have of inflicting some really significant crumble. All just personal preference though.

Nep does have a point there. Personally ive avoided playing other undead armies as i can see it making for quite a dull game, but thats just because of my list. Anyway, Possibly dont sugest a ;ist, just suggest the good and bad points about each unit (as you have done) so people can see what it would be best for them to use. Nep makes a good point about the one giant, one in the flank of a zombie unit will really shine, although probably not make its points back unless it manages to cause a Necro in said unit to crumble. |

My problem is that compared to the other special choices the giant isn't that good and at a casting lvl of 7 they get 2d6+2 zombies back.... that giant will really just be stuck like that for the entire game until they charge something in its flank. Anyhow i thought the carrion idea was a good one i've included now in there it was something i never thought of doing and 4 s3 attacks on a mage might jsut work and as Nec says could happen in the first turn. which to quote a friend would be coolies!!! Not sold on the giant but i have included it in there with a look out for easy ways to negate it Carni

Wow great job. With all these, mine seems really inadiquite now. Unfortunately im busy sorting Uni stuff out so havnt really found the time to edit and update, ill get on it when i have time free, i have a copy saved on my laptop so it should be fine. Nice job will, looks really good. Only thing I would add is Carrion work incredibly well in a list lead by a Liche High Priest. With the sheer amount of magic you have, you're almost guarenteed a first turn charge.

Thanks guy's, Spector, as you quite rightly suggested, I will add to my Carrion article that a LHP list works well. Well I guess I should take some more articles. How about Chariots, ICFB and Skelton Light Horsemen to be getting on with? |
