personally i use 2 in 2k but it depens if im going combat/ range / magic
With a Tomb King I use 2, with a Liche High Priest I use 1. The 2nd Scorp gets removed for Carrion.
80% of the times I got with 2 Scorps. One of them might get replaced for a unit of carrion on occasion.
""What's the matter? Don't ya like clowns? Don't we make ya laugh?" - Captain Spaulding.
I used to run with 4 Scorps at 2K
then I decided I loved Ushabti too much not to take them, and that carrion can be handy. So now im down to 2. They still work great as a pair though.
One is meaningless, four is too much. Three is prefect but TG takes one slot, and I just started using Ushabti again- so another slot taken.
And the ground did tremble, as the king marched to war...
Now do you guys use the "came from below rule" or just deploy them as normal
In a 2k game i put 2 or none.
Let slip the dogs of war.
Bretonian (over 5k points)
Tomb king (over 5k points)
Ogre kingdom (4.5k points)
Tyranid (3k points but not even half assemble, new army)
99.9% of the time I ICFB them. Very rarely will I keep them above ground.
Usually I take two. Gives you the option of splitting them up in the case of multiple warmachines or keeping one above ground on perharps catapult guard duty. Also is a bit of insurance if you do bury them both of at least oneo of them showing up early or even at all.
The use of ICFB really depends on target availability. If there isn't a good target I will bury them most of the time to be disruptive to his battle plans. That and help get me the +1 to first turn.
