I like LHP becuse of the powerful majic but TK's are nice for the chariots which do you uys normally chose and why?
also how many tombswarm bases do you get? i get 1 but is three or more worth it?
this seems like a general question so if its on another thread just link me to it.
"Advance, or it will not be daemonic blood that stains my hammer this day."
Inquisitor Lord Hephaestos Grudd, addressing Colonel Molain of the 223rd Gudrunite Rifles.
Our special choices are all so good that I usually find it worthwhile to free up a special slot or two by making chariots into a core unit.
It depends on the list, I guess.
Same here,i tried making army list with LHP but i rather put the king to get chariot as core and like jimmy said it free up special slot(more scorpion.
Dont get me wrong i think the LHP si awsome but not for 2k points and less.
Let slip the dogs of war.
Bretonian (over 5k points)
Tomb king (over 5k points)
Ogre kingdom (4.5k points)
Tyranid (3k points but not even half assemble, new army)
Personally i take a TK every time. It means i can take chariots as core, freeing up special slots and also meaning i can fill up core slots with decent units.
Also for just 70pts more than the prince, he adds so much to the army as well as a vastly improved statline.
Ideally with a king you need atleast 2 priests as heroes. A Prince is an option, but i take a third priest and a casket. Magic is too good not to have.
I've been playing with King in the army for a while, and he proved to be better for standarized army than LHP. For some HLP is better, for some TK is better, but while LHP may let you down, TK won't.
And the ground did tremble, as the king marched to war...
