Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm doing a chariot tactica atm and would be keen for some opinions and advice.
I'm really looking at two areas but if you have something you want to get off your chest about chariots feel free to post.
What command do you take with chariots? None, Champ, Standard, CHamp & Standard etc and why try to forward this discussion
Favourite banners and Tomb Prince or Tomb King setup.

This is what I Have so far and my views.
I usually take units of 3-4 chariots I prefer 4 as that allows maximum impact hits against standard block infantry but if points necessetate i will only take 3, I also like to oufit all my chariots with a standard so they only need to cause 4 wounds to draw the combat. 5 to win.
Four also helps with outnumbering bringing your unit str to 12 meaning you need to cause 9 wounds to outnumber most standard sized units. This is particularly important when trying to take on units head on with a tomb prince or tomb king in the chariot unit (note the US of the unit goes to 13) requiring you to do only 8 wounds to take the outnumbering. with lots of impact hits and some seriously good hero whomping this is quite achievable against all except the most elite troops.
Here are some hero builds that i use as well
Basic Starter Kit - 174
Tomb Prince, Chariot, Light Armor, Flail, Chariot of Fire
Providing you with extra impact hits, and some heavy hitting attacks this guy is devastating on the charge. You will be able to take most units head on with this guy.
Can also take Icon of the Sacred Eye to protect your chariot from those nasty S7 hit,.
or alternatively the collar of shapesh to protect the prince from wounds.
Undying Chariots – 192
Tomb Prince,Chariot, Light Armour, Spear of Antahrak, Enchanted Shield
This guy has a great armor save and will help rebuild any casualties you incur to your chariot unit. At S5 he’s no weakling and is good against infantry blocks, not so great against heavy cavalry etc.
I Smite You – 192
Tomb Prince, Chariot, Flail of Skulls, Light armor
Challenge! This guy is great for challenges and if you can combine with the Banner of the Sacred eye you will be hitting most unit champions on 2’s wounding on 2’s allowing no armour saves! This guy could give you +6 Combat Resolution alone with overkill! Also very good vs Multi wound creatures such as trolls and Ogres!
Death Incarnate – 302
Tomb King, Light Armor, Chariot, Flail of Skulls, Chariot of Fire, Icon of the Sacred Eye (could be swapped for Collar of Shappesh or Vambraces of the Sun for Protection)
More than capable of dealing with anyone he comes up against like the prince should be looking to challenge! He hits at an impressive S7, and with the banner of the Scared Eye will be hitting on 2’s wounding on 2’s against most enemies, very very scary!
Unstoppable Assault – 317
Tomb King, Light Armor, Chariot, Spear of Antahrak, Vambraces of the Sun, Chariot of Fire, Icon of the Sacred Eye (could be swapped for Collar of Shappesh for Protection)
S6 on the charge and regenerating, a very hard hitting, hard to stop unit!

Always no command, except if I am running a LHP list and need to get the BotUL in the list somewhere. Then the chariots get a standard and the BotUL.
I love charriots and I love the thought of charriot mounted heros, it is one of the reasons I started Tomb Kings.
My personal favorite combo is the Basic Charriot Prince with a Banner of the Sacred Eye for the unit. The prince is cheap, his charriot impact hits are a great bonus, and the Banner makes sure that your whole unit is hitting and causing wounds, rather than just depending on your hero.
The thing to remember about chariots is that you should never risk them in protracted combat. You should be using them as a flanking force as the unit to push the enemy over the edge and break their unit. You should only charge at the front if you are fairly certain of breaking the enemy on the charge. My rule of thumb is if my charriots arn't getting multiple charges in a game then they are costing points for little gain.
I have been playing with the idea of an army with two tomb princes a lich priest and a high lich priest. One Prince would be a Basic Charriot Prince joined to a squad of 3 charriots. The other prince would have a the Spear that regens wounds and would be placed in a large block of regular skeletons (25+). The two units would form the hammer and anvil of my army with the Skeleton squad Prince healing wounds on his block and keeping rank bonus up while bogging an opponent down, leaving an opening for my charriot hammer unit to hit the flank or roll over exposed weaker supporting units. The HLP would be kept within incantation range to help force through smiting and extra movement.
The only honorable options left to we combatants is seppuku or semantics...which amount to the same thing really.
Well, I outfit my Chariots with full Command, for all those benefits, and either Icon of the Sacred eye for extra hitting or Standard of the Cursing word, I like making an opponent take LD tests to see if he fails.
I kit out my King with Charit of Fire, Spear of Antarhak, Armour of the Ages with shield, so he is a tough nut to crack IMO, and quite a hard hitter on the charge with the chariot unit by his side.
In most lists I run at least three units of chariots... 1 unit of 3 1 unit of 4 and 1 unit of 5... In all but my unit of 3 I give them a full command... I normally give the unit of 5 the Banner of undying legion... and I give the unit of 4 The Icon of the sacred eye. sometimes I take the banner of the cursing word...
My tomb king runs with the unit of 4 and is decked out as follow:
Light armour, enchanted sheild, Spear of Antarhak, the golden arhkanar (can never spell it right) I have found that he keeps that unit going.
I find that 5 Chariots is just right for breaking most units... gives you a unit strength of 15 and as long as you get that charge off you should win combat and outnumber most enemies making them break.
How do you have two chariot units with magic banners? Are you running with a chariot mounted Icon Bearer? Otherwise your army is illegal.
Myself, I usually run one unit of 3, three units of four and a Prince mounted on a flaming chariot. All have a SB and nothing else. BotUL in the unit the Prince goes in, which is one of the 4 man units. The lone 3 man is there be support to another unit by being small, manuverable and usually left alone.
Do not question the dice gods for their wrath is swift and terrible.
I was under the impression that chariot units can take magic standards... any ammount of units... the only units that I know can only take one magical standard are the skeleton warriors when you take the tomb king.
That was what I thought anyway...
One chariot unit may take a magic banner up to a value of 50 points....
2 units somewhat illegal mate.
Generally, for chariot units, i advise that most of the time the best setup for them is a unit of 3 with no command.
If you have a Chariot character in the army, then his unit id say take 3 chariots with standard and a magic banner, either undying leion or warbanner.
If you then want any more chariot units in the list also, make them units of 4 chariots (or 3 if you have other characters to join them) with banner.
As for Prince/ King wargear setup, the Spear of Antarhak can be a great weapon when combined with the UDL banner for survivability. Also armour of the Ages and Collar of Shapesh for a King, or the Vambraces for the Prince. Then add all mundane armour options possible.
