Im going to be playing against both High Elf's and Ogre's soon and i have a dilemma. There spells aren't (mostly) remain in play spells, they just linger for a turn or 2 (or 4). So the question is, does Enkil's Kanopi work on there spells or is it useless?
Somewhere "official" would help greatly on this.
Thanks in advance
It only works on spells that specifically state that they remain in play. It is pretty ok versus OK, but personally I rarely field it.
It's Adventure Time!

Actually IIRC its useless vs OK, as they arent specific RiP. Personally ive never used it also.
How aren't they 'specific' remains in play Deceiver? They cast the spell, if successful, it remains in play. What's not specific about that?
I remember looking ta it before, and i dont think they have the 'RiP' rule in the title of the spell. Hence they are not RiP spells. Also they dont follow all the normal restrictions (Spell ends if wizard is slain, casts another spell, etc etc)
With the OK spells it says they "An opponent may dispel any Gut Magic spell in his own magic phase as though it was a Remain in Play spell"
This would make me think it CAN be dispelled with the Kanopi, because it "counts as" a RiP spell for dispelling.
Tomb Kings need a new errata/FAQ
my friend play OK, and we have always counted as a RiP spell, you can dispell whenever you wish, but of course u loose ur dispell dice for that turn. I would assume having that spell would be decent. Even if he keeps dispelling it, that means you can use more powerful spells that can be more devastating to him. If he doesnt dispell it or fails, great no more RiP spells, plus making the butchers recast that might have them take a wound on themselves. Nonetheless i think its beneficial. In all, you either get him to use dispell dice, or he looses his RiP.
I'm gonna agree with Sliver on this one.
It states gut magic can be dispeled as if they were RiP spells, so the Kanopi will work.
So it's a great choice against OK for sure.
Ooh, cool i was unaware of that line Silver, thanks for pointing it out. In which case, ill happily change my stance Kanopi is a good choice vs OKs.
