hey guys im fairly new to tomb kings, I am originally a dwarf player but they are starting to bore me I guess im just bored of the stand n shoot idea, plus I like the fluff and models of the tomb kings so I have decided to go for them. Im getting off subject but I was wondering if the tomb kings had any other special characters, models or alternate army lists to kinda add your own flavor to the army? sorta like IG have their doctrines and stuff.
Well for stuff outside the codex, there is a small extended army list. I havent heard anyone here using it though. It just gives weapons for bonegiants(which are rarely used), and gives a special character thats a bonegiant as well. Other than that theres nothing else that i can think of/know of.
Our Special Characters in the actual army book can give quite interesting list variations, though if you dont like defensive lists then id avoid Khalida. And 3K is needed for Settra Still, a nice fast Chariot army could work for you?
how long has the extended army been out I havent heard about it until just rescently I think somebody posted the link to the rules up here a couple days ago. It looks kinda cool a bone giant army sounds fun.
The construct army is a unique army but is a set of trial rules so it is only playable against player who are willing to face it. You'll certainly never get to play it in a tournament.
Do not question the dice gods for their wrath is swift and terrible.
If you don't like stand and shoot try and go for an offensive list (try not to get bone giants as they are not so good also stay away from heavy horsemen light horesmen are sometimes good but only in small numbers) you may want to add more constructs minus the bone giant and use more magic since dwarves have no magic and tomb kings has very reliable non miscasting magic. Also keep in mind that chariots are core units if you have a tomb king in your army so they are an option.
