It gets what is effectively an extra movement phase. You can use the ground movement (2") if you wish, or if you must (for example if they are stuck in a wooded area etc) but generally it is used to allow them a flying move, very handy to get 1st turn charges etc.

On the King/Prince? Its effectively a 4+ Ward (or better, as even wards can be negated) and skellies are expendable, better to transfer the wound for cheap than to have the King hurt.

My math may be wrong but your 1000 list came out to 1020... And I really hope my math is wrong because I'd really like to experiment with this list and figure out how I want to make my main army.

Now this is gonna be my first real chunk of purchases when headed towards my mummified glory...

What am I adding up wrong? Am I using the wrong army book or something?

Also... Heavy Cavalry do melee while Light Cavalry shoot.
    Which is better overall?

Neither Heavy or Light Cav is better per se. Heavy Cav for Tomb Kings basically translates to fast mobile CR that has S4 on the charge and can do some flanking if needed. Basically, a mobile skeleton block. Light Cav can shoot and is good for giving the odd mounted Liche Priest a bodyguard or for redirecting charges. Neither is spectacular, but they both have their niches.

Aaahh! Indeed, you are correct. ok, i have edited the list (i.e fixed it to be 975pts so i dont have to edit the text underneath much ) I wonder what i did wrong... Apologies to anyone who this mistake may have affected.

As for the Cav, Spector hit the nail on its metaphorical head.

As a brand new player to Tomb Kings and Fantasy in general, i'd like to say this was great thanks for the help !

I do have a question though, yes its very '' Nooby ''
I created what will hopefully be a unique idea for my Tomb kings ~ My girlfriend plays Wood Elves, so I was thinking it would be cool if I could get a kind of similar theme for when we play together ( allied ). Reading around I mostly found people liking the Egyptian theme, however I went for an Aztec theme ( more jungle like )
At the moment I went for 19 ( 20 ) Warriors with shield, how ever I gave them Spears as I thought this would fit the theme more, after reading this I got rather worried
Would it be acceptabloe for me to pass them off as Hand weapons, as I rather like the theme as it is and I am reluctant to add mixed matched axes / swords.

    Currently I have
    19(2 - Skellie warriors - Shield, spears
    10 - Bowmen
    3 chariots
10 cav. - spears, shield ( with a quiver on their backs )
    3 Ushabti
    Catapult
Casket - I use the liche model as my priest (without the casket) as i think its a very cool model.
    Tomb Prince
Small squad of Tomg guard ( not sure how many entirely )
Making a custom Queen based on the original but imo prettier

Sorry for the long post, one last question, i'm not sure where to go from this set up - Also is it viable having an Aztec theme ?
I recently moved from the UK over to Sweden to live with my girlfriend so my stuff is all over the place atm sorry for the bad information.

    Thanks in advance

    ~Jay.

Lol, just let your opponants know that the spears are only there for show and that should be fine! I like the idea of the themed allies by the way

    List of stuff looks fine

    Sorry for the long post,
    No worries, happy to help!

It shouldn't be a problem. Fluff wise the Catapult and Chariots may be difficult to fit in, but assuming you're gonna have a combined colour scheme they should fit in fine, and should look awesome

    Thanks for the reply !
Aha okay then, was kind of worried thanks =) - Was one of those ideas you get and not sure if they'll work atm it looks okay I guess.
Couldn't my opponent be .. well an ''ass'' and say something like '' No, you put spears on them, they are spears '' etc, or would it effect me if I were to go to an Official Tornament ?

The catapult will be painted dead wood style and instead of the bandages i'm trying to go for Vines and so on. The casket is simply on top of a small Aztec pyramid with a goblin being sacrificed.
I do have another question, I have read here that the use of Swarms and carrions are good / usefull, i'm not too keen on the models or the fact of using them, is it something I will have to get used to, or is there anyway around not using them (i.e taking more scorps or something)?

Not having read the Tomb kings Army Book in full, but I didn't see much about it, is would it be okay if My characters or some of them at least actually had more skin/flesh?
I like the idea of a striking centerpiece model that isn't or not entirely a skeleton

Also a little confused at all the banners and magic, being an Eldar player i just hop my Harlequins in a Serpent and go cause havoc This .. magic stuff is pretty ''new'' to me
