Just wanted to thank you guys for creating this thread as well. I recently decided to try playing Tomb Kings for my second fantasy army and as I had heard that they are very challenging to play I wanted to pick up some tips first before I become frutrated. Thanks for this amazing thread.

I just wanted to add a quick note on this thread about the superb videos Vaultk posted on Youtube not so long ago.

Quite aside from actually being the best battle reports I have ever seen, they are also a fantastic way for new players to get an idea of what TK battles are all about and see the games played out with lots of photos and an informative commentary.

Since he was also new to WHFB and TKs when he started them it will also help ease the learning curve a bit and show you a few tricks of the trade. This will really give you a head start in getting to grips with TKs and start winning some games.

Highly recommended and probably required viewing for any aspiring TK general.

I watched a few of his batreps and found them very informative. I'm still shocked at the first one of his I watched when I saw that big unit of Skeleton Heavy Horsemen. I still have a WTF moment every time I think of it.

    It´s Vaulsc I believe.

The army with the big unit of cavalry was made specificly for a tournament with fluffy lists, I don't think he normally fields them.

Here's an interesting tactic that has always turned out trumps for me.

I take one full unit of tomb guard with icon of the eye thing and another of 15 with Rakaph. The larger unit has a king with DoE and Collar of Shapesh.

Essentialy big unit charges front of unit while the other whips around and hits the side of said unit. I use the king in challenges, who has got a current tally of Khorne Lord on juggernaught, General of empire army, many wizards, variety of heroes oh and a star dragon with the noble on top. All hail the King!

But this tactic is great against big scary units such as a full unit of chaos chosen, suck on that khorne!

But don't expect your unit to come out grinning, but that's what reviving is for!
Lucky Hats- Is there anything they can't do?

Yeah, but he uses a couple of different names on different forums. The links will take you where you need to go regardless.
