Beasts of Chaos
Daemons of Chaos
Dogs of War
Orc and Goblins
Other Tomb Kings
Warriors Of Chaos
Hey guys I have been fortunate with my Tomb Kings to have played almost every army out there at one time or another, even some of the more obscure WD and campaign book lists, I thought i would post a poll up here to see what you lot think our hardest match ups are (and why!) and maybe get some discussion going on how to beat the harder opposition out there!
Obviously this is very general and player skill and specific lists are also very important, feel free to elaborate on the specific reasons for your selection/s to make this exercise more useful, cheers!

How do you expect to defeat me when I am forever and you are just a man...
I find Dwarfs can be immnesly difficult to play against.
Lots of antimagic and dispel dice nulling a good percentage of my spells,
Increadable basic Ld vlue which means panic from screaming skulls of the fact that i cause fear nearly never makes an impact compared to other armies,
Thier pesky dwarf lords sitting pretty of killing blow on shield bearers at unit S3,
War machine crews that have the potential to wipe out most anti war machine stuff like carrion, scorpions and swarms,
Lots of fire power which quickly cuts into troops meaning alot of magic goes into raiseing units back as a pose to moving them of casting damage spells,
High armour and style of play that means its real hard to whitle them down.
Played a Dwarf army for the first time ever today... they're pretty tough, but I beat them fair enough. I've annihilated Lizardmen, Brets, and all forms of Chaos. The only opponent I have trouble with is High Elves... fought them about three dozen times now... I've drawn once and won once... ASF matched with high weapon skill, and high-enough Strength always means my entire front rank dies before I can hit back. Wood Elves can be a pest, but High Elves are definitely the hardest opponent I've ever faced.
Daemons of Chaos is by far the worst match-up for Tomb Kings at the moment. They can counter pretty much everything we can do, have an army wide ward save, can annihilate us in close combat, and are Immune to Panic on top of it all. Oh, and they are also pretty damn fast.
Ya i'd have to agree with prince i've beaten dwarfs and although it was hard i cant seem to beat high elves with their ASF and the fact they to can dispell magic pretty good
Depends what kinda daemons, but they would get my vote. Nurgle lists atm are probably the toughest thing for TKs, and really the only units we got that can stand up to them is Tomb Guard and Scorps. I have beaten a nurgle/tzeetch list before, but it was very very marginal.
Dwarves i've never really had a problem with. Scorps, swarms and carrion destroy gun lines. Most dwarf players will usually have a good chunk of their points spent in artillery and other ranged attacks. I'll even take casket against dwarves just to suck up some dispell dice so I can get my movement spells off.
Vamps can be a problem, i play a defensive list most of the time however, and have never taken chariots against them. It's unfortunate how broken vamps are, their Lords/Heroes are simply more powerful than ours for the points. I know i can beat them though, i have only played them a couple times and have done a ton more damage to them than with my high elves.
I haven't played the new daemons, nor will I anytime soon since no one around here likes them, so I can't comment on them. I would have to say VC though. They now have units capable of hitting hard like TK had, their crumble character is much much tougher than ours, their magic is lots more powerful and almost as relentless when it needs to be, magic defence will be high since they have lots of spell casters, their units are in general better. They can raise troops much quicker and easier as well, so in the battle of attrition they win.
I'd say Vampires would be a close 2nd for the toughest army to go up against. However for the most part we still have a good amount of heavy hitters that can get the job done against Vampires. Every other army out there such as Dwarves, Wood Elves, ect, there are ways to beat them. With DoC and VC, I think TK have been hurt by the power creep. We'll have to wait and see if this is remedied in the new TK book.
