    Banner of the Cursing Word

    Does 'unmodified' mean the enemy model does not get to benefit from being close to it's General? I assume it does.

    I believe so. It is the same as Stubborn. You test on the unit's base ledership with no modifications.

    using it with chariots?

    I thought of using this banner with a unit of chariots since the bases are bigger and you would affect more models.

    Then i realised that it works at the beginning of the magic phase which means it would only work if you've either been charged or been stuck in combat for two turns of combat which either way is not looking good for your chariot unit.

    If used it in an infantry unit i could only affect 3 models at the most.

    Is it worth taking since I've never had the chance to see how effective it is?

    Even though the chariot seems much bigger, it's only 50mm wide, which means that at most you'll get 4 20mm bases in contact. The one on foot isn't much worse.

    One the general in the unit statement, do they get to use the Ld of the general if he's in the unit? The way I read it, it would use the unmodified Ld of each model in B2B. Another question, can this single out champions too?

    I'm not sure if I'm following you here. Charges are declared before the magic phase, and unless we get a failed charge, we can use the banner in the magic phase, before we start hitting in close combat. At least that's the way i always thought it worked.

    I've been thinking about using the banner in cavalry units, but I'm just not sure where to put it. The chariots really want the icon of the sacred eye.

    Oops

    You're absolutley right, my mistake.

    When I use chariots I try and use the movement phase to setup a charge in the flank for the magic phase.

    I've been using banner of the undying legion with my chariots in 1k games I find it keeps my elite unit topped up and for some reason my opponents never try and dispel it.

    I've not got my book with me but what does the icon do?

    I'm not sure if i can tell you the exact details, but it really gives your unit an edge in the first round of combat especially the chariots.

    The banner would only help if you were able to declare a normal charge, but not one in the magic phase. That does kind of put a downer on its usefulness.
