I just recently got back into warhammer about 2-3 months ago. Back in 5th and 6th edition I used to play high elves. Anyway I loved the look of tomb kings when I was trying to decide what army to take and finally chose to take them. When i first bought the army book and had a read through it my first reaction was one of disappontment. As we all know that TKs can look quite dismal from the outside. But since playing a few small games ( I only have 3 chariots, 16 archers, TK in hariot, TK on foot and 2 liche priest, 1 being mounted ) I really come to enjoy them and am don't regret in the least my decision to take them.
But i did have a few questions. Although i really enjoy the army they seem somewaht outdated in comparison to the other armys ive played (i mostly play just a few mates at the moment who have wood elves and chaoes daemons). Have a totally missed the mark herre or is it not jsut me? And also they only have 2 characters while most the armies i know of have at least 5!
Any info would br geat guys.
Wood Elves, and far more recently DoC, have already had their 7th ed updates. Expect the Tomb Kings update (7th ed army book) to appear near the end of the year.
Ah ok. Thanks alot for that Phoenix. Is there anyway of finding any rough info on wahts going to be new/changed/removed ect? Just on a side note I really think that King Sehenesmet in his construct would be a great character and model for the new book. Maybe another lord/heroe choice in the form the kings champion. The warrior that would have fought pesonal battles, duels, challenges and gernerally defeneded his honour with steel. though, wishful thinking perhaps.
