Hi there dudes, seeing the new 7th ed. books and how good are the new armies infantry comparing it with our infantry (high costs and not so good) I asked myself if the best way to play now with TK is a 100% attack list, with scorps, chariots, carrions, LC and BG.
This was something that a friend of mine said to me and I decided to post it here to see what opinions you have.
I response him that I prefer balance lists rather than a full attack because if we dont destroy the enemy in the charge we are over.
From my point of view if we play full attack we could have trouble with Daemons, VC, maybe brets, dwarfs...
¿What do you think of all of this?
PD: Sorry for my english dudes, I'm from Spain, hope you can understand me.
Your English seems good enough so no worries there.
As for an all out offence army, if you WANT to make it work, then it will. Some armies will be more difficult than others, sure. Off the top of my head, Brets and maybe Dwarves.
Otherwise, just send Chariots crashing into Daemons. Impact Hits will hurt with their lowish Toughness and Saves lol.
If we play with an all cav/chariots list and when we charge we dont win the combat that means is good game, I remember of playing against those Daemons some weeks ago (Nurgle list) and I charge a unit of plaguebearers with TG in front and with a unit of chariots with prince in their flank and I didn't break the unit.
Next 2 turns my unit of chariots dissapear.
That's why I think that now in my honest opinion is very very diff to win a tourny with our TKs. If we play balance lists our infantry is not good enough comparing it with the new books' ones and if we play with an all offence army we are playing "deciding all in one turn of charging" which is very diff to win with because lots of units now are inmune to psico or got reg and stories like that...
I'm a bit desesperate because I don't know how to play with my TKs at the moment, I like TG for example but I find it really expensive now and not so good so I'm looking for differents style of playing.
Phoenix, I've read lots of the TK forum posts and I can see that you are a veteran and good TK player so I will like to discuss this a bit more with you, tell how you are going on in the last tournys, what list you are using etc.

Im at uni at the moment, and since coming here ive been pretty much out of anything warhammer related, gaming wise atleast. I do try my best to keep up to date with new armies though, so hopefully my TK advice is still good (atleast til the new book, at which point ill do my beast to learn that book off by heart too! )
As for tournements, ive only ever been to one, and even that was a ''friendly''. I use the '', as to be honest i didnt find it very friendly, or fun, at all Not a fan of tourney players in general. Experiances ive had playing against them and their armies casually have not been great either, they make the game less fun than powergamers!
Edit: i do have my list here though:

I'm working with a chariot heavy list at the moment, I'll post the list in the army list page at lunchtime.
I like the idea of getting into combat as soon as possible.
One thing I would say is that given you have the fast cavalry movement and the chance for magical charges you shouldn't be charging the front of a ranked up unit unless you really have to.
I was thinking of trying a tournamnet one day but Pheonix's sentiments echo those of many people I've talked to about them.
Finally getting round to finshing my Tallarn Imperial Guard Army (2K)
Everything else has been sacrificed on the Altar of eBay...
I love to play aggresive. Ussualy I go for a lot of chariots, ushabti and scorpions. I find that magic heavy is also a must. If you let your opponent go first you can possibly get a charge with your chariots by the second round.
I send my chariots the normal movement rate forward, and then try to overwhelm my opponent with magic and then try to get the charge. A unit of 5 chariots and a prince with chariot of fire can dish out a huge amount of hurt. It doesn't have to be more than 3 or 4 chariots, but i like the idea of the prince with his elite leading the army into a massive attack.
Ushabti can dish out a lot of damage and with a 3+ save and 4T they can hold their own.
Scorpions and carrions flanking or picking off weak units and lone wizards are also a must together with the bowmen.
Sending the opponent on a huge route are always a good feeling
Hope I don't sound cocky, but I hate loosing in WF without without a good fight
They do only have a 5+Sv. They cant really ''hold their own''. but with Priest back up they do good
I thought they had the 5+ construct save and heavy armor?
If I'm wrong...well my bad
The Bone Giant has heavy armour. Ive always thought that Ushabti could do with LA...
