Your girl friend is into daemonettes... lucky, I had enough trouble persuading mine to pick up wood elves lol.

I would not take an SSC against daemons, definitely not. They're daemons, they're not going to panic away, the only way to make them run will be by piling up the combat res.

I would take tomb guard, at least one decent sized unit, the str 4 T4 combination will be handy against the St3 daemonettes.

As for the rest of the army I would go for a construct army. You need units which can stay in combat and dish out damage turn after turn, so chariots probably aren't your best option, we're talking multiple Ushabti units and a bone giant.

Also, and this is the ONLY time you'll hear me say this, it might be time to consider the Icon bearer. A construct unit near an icon bearer takes two wounds less from combat than it otherwise would, thats pretty good, also the icon bearer adds a pt of CR to the unit he's in (say the tomb guard), and could be given a magic banner, which means your tomb guard could have both a warbanner and the BotUDL in, giving you a starting static CR of 7 for a large unit (3 ranks, banner, army banner, warbanner, outnumber).

You could probably make one chariot unit work, as long as you take lead with a prince, otherwise, for your core units, take archers, slaaneshi only have their basic ward, no armour, so you should be able to get something through.

Demonettes have ASF (if let by their champ, which is likely) so they will tear TG apart for not many wounds in return. Although Demons wont run, they will crumble.. youl have to rely on the large static combat res to win you the game... or just pile up on the bows

SSC can be handy for unit thinning, just dont upgrade it...

Chariots will be great, Impact Hits devastate small units with weak saves.

Normally I'd agree with chariots impacting, but you're not going to wipe out a unit on the charge unless the daemon player has some horrendous luck with their combat res rolls and chariots in subsequent rounds are worse than useless unless they have a character with them.

Tomb Guard are good because they are tougher and stronger than skellies, and thats going to be a big help against daemonettes which are only str 3

SSCs are not going to kill many, daemon armies are typically small anyway so even a small deviation can cause a shot to miss altogether, I'd rather have an extra 10 archers for slightly fewer pts than a SSC which they'll still get the same save against anyway.

And to whoever asked, daemonic ward saves are NOT removed by magical attacks, its now a true ward save.

True... But do not think of it as a "Oh-that-will-make-me-loose"-thing. It's just one of the benefits you get for being a Daemon
