Welcome to Librarium Online!
You know how there are some armies that are just so tough, stubborn, and unyielding that you cannot possibly hope to beat? Yeah, for me, that's lizardmen! However, then there are those armies that fall apart under your might! Yep, that's Dark Elves!
You see, with Lizardmen they have strong wizards that I cannot touch because they are surrounded by other lizzies, forming a sort of... meat tank! Then they have the EotG, poisoned attacks and to top it off, some characters even allow them to cast Irresistable force on ANY doubles. Not to mention the nearly indestructable stegadons.
Then there's dark elves! Aaaah, Dark Elves! You and your toughness of 3! Your petty Bolt throwers are so easily destroyed by my Scorps! Your magic isn't nearly as reliable as mine! Your armor save is useless against khalida's poisoned attacks so what good will black guard and cold ones do you! I could wipe out entire units with my SSC all day!... stupid emos!
So what armies do you love facing and hate facing?
Of the armies I've faced...I would say I hate facing All mounted brettonian armies and Vampire Counts.
Its hard to find a way to crack Brettonian armor...my SSC always seems to misfire...funny how that works. Vampires just have toooooooooo many power dice, and even their Vampires make dispel dice. I wish our princes made dispel dice
I love facing Lizardmen...the player I go against uses a magic light list. I seem to always do great with my chariots. My archers take care of the skinks easy, chariots have always broke the saurus on the charge. (Usually fire an SSC shot or two into a unit before I charge to make sure they don't have full rank bonus's etc)
Edit: However, I can see how facing a lizardmen army that is magic heavy and has lots of stegodons and EoTG would be rough.
Ogres can be fun as well, just gotta watch for Str. 7 with chariots. They usually have very little magic defence... And my Ushabti tear them apart easy.
On a side note, unless Khalida has some sort of special poisoned attacks then armor saves are still given versus them. Poisoned attacks only automatically wound, they don't negate armor.
"I am the architect of fate!"
Hardest to beat is probably VC. Even more so than daemons as daemons save, though permanent, is low, so mass bows etc can get through. As VC is essentially our equvalent, but with better necromency skills, they make for a pretty dull and relentless game lol.
unless you can whack the general and make them decay a VC will take you turn 6 with numbers abound. i hate to say it but you got to get down and dirty and focus fire that bloodsucker.
gard ramnin bret tanknights.
orcs and goblins, warriors of chaos, ogre kingdoms, skaven, and wood elves are fun games cause of all the crazy shenanigans they can pull off.
but my top two most hated matches. HE and DE.
i played a OnG army with mainly chariots and skekke bowmen and i literally just ran them over with chariots it was a massacre!
AVE SATANAS! TK 3k army (W/D/L)(2/1/0)
i just don't like the idea of my offensive capabilities being crippled by a passive ability.
One of my friends played VC for a short while (luckily I never got to play against his army) Although I know one kid who's my age and has collected numerous armies, who now plays Vampire Counts (I'll try to avoid playing against him like the plague then)
