Welcome to Librarium Online!
GW is expensive, and we're in the middle of a global depression. Many companies are reducing their prices, and GW is the only one increasing theirs. I've begun to look at other miniature makers for proxies. I already found a number of good ones at Reaper and I've already made my SSC out of sprues and alumumin foil and epoxy.
I would like to hear from you if you've used any alternative models or you've made a model for your army. I'm looking to converting regular Skeleton warriors into Tomb Guards (25 dollars isnt TOO bad but I'm sick of metal models).
LET hear what you've done.
Try searching for 'War Gods of Aegyptus' by Crocodile Games, as they do an egyptian themed wargame - with models that fit perfectly with a Tomb Kings army. They are also the same size.
I use a couple as Liche priests as the Tomb King character selection is - ahem - limited at best.
i own the Basti Crypt lord, Priestess of Isis and Asar Master of Words as my Tomb Price and two Liche Priests. The scale and quality of the sculpts fits perfectly.
Hope this helps.
anubi warriors would make sexy tomb guard...
i created my own tomb guard and just purchased the command pack. added green stuff to help create wrappings and used the head dress heads (not sure what to call them) and the curved swords. the employees at my local GW were pretty impressed and I saved a bunch of money

WiP TK Army!
Last night i was talking with Forumjayz about TK and he showed me that site, damn those are some fine models.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
I have a Wargods figure.
It has a mask with horns on it and carries some huge whip type thing.
Looks good as a king with the death mask and crook/flail of radiance
I don't normally play in tournies so other models are not that big of a deal. If I were to enter into an official tourny which models are legal? I thought that only GW models can be used in a sanctioned tourney.
