Are a Prince and a flying Hierophant with Jar enough for the tomb King magic phase, or do I need another liche priest to contribute for the magic phase? I'd so like to use the points on another Scorpion!
I fear that my magic will do next to nothing with only 2 characters, but I'm also afraid I lack the punch against my friend's WoC without the scorp. (and no, SSC is not my artillery of choice :p)
With TP LP, youll have 3 "power" dice, against atleast 2 dispel dice. If your opponant takes a wizard then you'll be practically shut down. More than one and its pretty much game over before you start. I generally strongly advise a second priest at 1K.
With no SSC, what do you run in the rest of your list? Take a look at my "Beginners Guide to TK". With no SSC there should be plenty of room for 3 Heroes and 1-2 Scops.
Thinking of that the TK magic is very reliable, you should really use it right or not at all. You can't have an Irresistable Force and so, you can just hope that the enemy will not dispel. The trick is to make him want to dispel EVERYTHING (which he obviously can't do if distributed correctly)...
Let's make a short math:
Your Hieratic Magic looks like this (if no bound items are missed here ofc):
TP "My Will Be Done" D6
LP "Incantations" 2D6
LP: Release the Hieratic Jar's powers?
This makes up for 3D6 a phase, with a boost to 5D6 one phase.
The Dispel Pool of your Enemy:
2D6 for the normal "Starting Dice"
I guess he's going to use one lvl 1 or 2 sorc = D6
This makes up for 3D6 DD a phase, just as much as you got except from the HJ-phase
The WoC player will have a greater chance in dispelling your magic than you will have to successfully cast it (The same result on Power and Dispel results in a fail to cast). If he is NOT playing a sorc, then you got a nice benefit.
I would prefer another LP. Either that, or a boost of the TP for better combat hitting. Maybe make a TP "challenge Survivor" (GW, AotA and VoS).
About the Scorp: Try to squeeze it in at all costs! It have always done well serving me, and in small battles they are far better than much in WHFB. Make your friend fear the scorp
The WoC is a tough enemy. BUT! If he underestimates the effedts of Fear, he will have big problems with a TK army. If he does not, he must have paid a whole lot of points to make his warriors immune (or whatever else he can do that works against fear )
I think that's all for now Hope It Helps!
