Welcome to Librarium Online!
As many of you probably know, i have recently, personally given the Beastmen a much needed overhaul (GW being too lazy to pay any attention to anything not wearing power armour..) and i think its turned out pretty well. As I aimed for, an army up to scratch with current armies, but nowhere near stupidly god like (DoC...), just fun and balanced
So... how would people feel about me doing a similar thing for Tomb Kings? Ofcourse, they would need far fewer changes that Beasts, but ive been thinking about this for a long time, and i guess the time feels right to announce my intent.
Basically, as with Beasts, id write up a version of the TK book with changes i (as an experienced TK player and general gamer, but from an unbiased viewpoint) think are necessary.
Everyones input is welcome And i will take all ideas into consideration (knocking out TK power dreamer ideas out straight away )
So, out of interest, who would be up for a) helping with input, ideas and feedback, and b) trying out the army in friendly games against good opponents?
King of Librarium, your opinions please!

i would be more than happy to try the army out with friends. i honestly cant see much about the book that needs inprovng though to be honest, and apart from my input in the wishlist, i probably wont have much to say.
obviously cheaper skeletons and cheaper ushabti. and maybe a magic item faff about e.g. serpent staff needs to go lol.
but if you do one and post it ill play it and feed back
I was thinking about doing something similar so i'm willing to help with anything required.
A couple of good replies already, thats good As expected really, the TK thread is pretty active at the mo, which is great Beasts tends to be a bit quiet...
Anyway, my initial thoughts:
Tomb Prince: Horse mount option. Also bow options for Kings and Princes.
Icon Bearer: Give this guy MWBD on a D3. I want to know how viable he will be (though playtesting) given this benefit.
Ushabti: Add light armour, possibly a few other minor changes...
Sphinx: I've always wanted a large mount for my King Some people say that a sphinx doesnt fit the TK theme... but, egypt!? lol. Feel free to change its name to whatever you want to play it as. I have some ideas in mind rules wise.
Scorpions, possibility for changes. 2 types? Pts change? Make it a proper monster or not at all (rather than the crappy in between worst of both worlds best of none )
Skellies, drop the base cost, make all options viable.
Casket: Cast on a 3D6... possibly? Points increase obviously. Maybe a built in ward save for the Priest? Nothing too amazing or overpowered...
FAQ: Sorting this damn thing out. Such things as Mag Res not working vs the Casket, incant of Smiting into combat CAN cause a panic check, etc. Basically sorting out borderline issues (in favour of the TK most likely ) to bring them into line wth other armies, and to match rules to fluff/theme.
Dragon Armour for Kings, lets see how those damn elves like it (obviously, this is a joke...)
Etc etc. More ideas will come to me when i sit down and get writing (yay procrastination! )
Well Im extremely new to the game, but there are a couple of things that just seem really weird to me that seems like it could benefit from a change. One main thing is the lack of a Great weapon for both the Ushabti and Bone Golem. In almost all of the Ushabti pictures and the models of the Ushabti themselves look like they are wielding great weapons. Being ritual blades, they should at least do something special. And to me, its crazy to not capitalize on a huge weapon for a monster that has the strength to heft it.
Another thing on the Ushabti is they are statues of the different Nehekaren gods, so it would seem really cool if the different Ushabti took on a very small aspect of the god they were created after.
That is really it for me.
i think the skullapults magica fire should damage those immune to it as its not natural fire.i think a built in 5+ ward for the basket crew would be fantastic. gives some protection vs cannons!and 3d6 makes it even more terrifying
It seems to me that Undead Constructs should have a Ward Save. They are created and held together by magic. This is similar to Demons and Forest Spirits, for example, which get ward saves (of one sort or another anyway).
