Welcome to Librarium Online!
Now we all no tomb kings are living legends (well i say living) but liche high priests are just so powerful with the ability to pump out to incantations a turn on 3D6. But in the current rules i think u need at least some chariots to take those pesky elves down and tomb king speical choices are very important to them (2 scorpions, ushabiti and tomb guard!) so i would like to no ur opinions on the matter
take what i say with a pinch of salt....im quite new to the tk and have only played a few games with them.
Liche High Priests are fantastic as a heiro with re-rollable incantations and flying. they can with the right combo of items/priests make the magic phase unstoppable, and you also get a tougher heirophant.
Kings have incantations also, but only limited range and only on one d6, though he goes before any priests so although his incantations cant raise and are "weak", they can also be easily dispelled, and will often leave your opponent with less dispel dice for the priests. he's also a really hard, very tough combat character in that he's S5 T5 with 4 wounds.
the real awesomeness of the king, however, is the core chariots. IMO its the special choices in the TK book that do the damage, and to have all 4 of those slots open with as many chariots as you like cant be overlooked.
IMO (as i said take with a pinch....) although the LHP is sick, Core Chariots is just too nice to be without, and a potentially sickening combat character who can cast spells that cant fail and is immune to miscast is just one of the many Gems in the TK book.

I always run a King. Core Chariots lets me take effectively 6 Special units, which i happily do, at 2K. I dont make use of the Skellies banner til about 2250, but the option is always there. Also with a TK, TP, Hiero and Casket, i find that the magic / army size balence is perfect for what i want.
Haha, I agree to what Phoenix says (as always... sigh hahaha )
Undivided, think of what you want Both can be used in a good way, the only thing that you have to choose between is which style that works for you... Which one of the Lords do You think is the coolest one?
The Tactics in which you can use the IB are very limited, and so, the Army Lists when he is used are often very limited...
I suggest that you search the Forums for more information about the IB - I am sure you will find something helpfull
Here's a link to how you could play an IB with Banner of the Hidden Dead: http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ad-tactic.html (Banner of the hidden dead Tactic?)
The rest is up to you
I am actually a pretty big fan of the LHP. My very competitive TK list is built around him. (1 LHP, 2LP, 1TP) Of course, I have also played with TK (one time was trying to tone down the magic so I dont obliterate my empire opponent with magic. He hates the religion fluff for empire) Of course, the TK is still very good too. You've been playing games with both. You just have to alter your style depending on if you have LHP or TK. They are both viable options.
